I place my ribs in the basket that came with the Ninja. I’m still new to using it so it lessen the odds of burning especially if you’re using a rub with sugar in it.

Hey my BBQ Sisters, we call those Dino Ribs down here. The Dalmatian Rub (Kosher salt 🧂 and black pepper) is my go to rub for ribs and brisket. I need to hickory smoke some of those ribs. Where a lot of people mess up is they don't let the meat rest. Letting the meat rest is an important step in BBQ. The ribs looked delicious 😋! Love the bark on those ribs. Enjoyed the video! Y'all Stay Safe and Take Care!

Thank you Skoggit!! We think it’s so cool that you call it Dalmatian rub! And we sometimes call these beef ribs dino ribs up here in Canada too, we are trying to be as awesome as our Texas friends down south!!! 😍💖

The Ninja Woodfire may cook more efficiently because the grilling surface uses conduction heat, and it also heats the air in the cooking chamber using convection heat at the same time. I like how the amount of wood pellets used was pretty much the same amount as the spice used, which shows how smoke is just one ingredient for cooking barbecue. You two are among the hardest working BBQ KZbinrs! I tell my condo dwelling friends to watch you and see that you can BBQ no matter where you live!
@MaddieandKiki2 жыл бұрын
Great insights Mike!!! It’s wild to think that the same amount of pellets and rub were used on these ribs!!!🤣😂 thank you for your kind words, we hope your condo-dwelling friends jump on the BBQ bandwagon!!! Life is too short to not have fun at the grill!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥

Beef ribs are my favorite cook and you gals nailed it with this cook. I am shocked at how important a smoke ring is, even though you can't taste the darn thing.
@MaddieandKiki2 жыл бұрын
Yes we totally agree Scott!! We had to get used to the fact that the Ninja doesn’t provide a smoke ring. It’s so interesting how important smoke rings are!!😂🔥

@MaddieandKiki2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kimberlindy! Yes it’s so odd how the mustard flavour doesn’t come through after the smoke process takes place! Some people use mayo as a binder too, but we prefer mustard!! We promise your husband won’t even know it’s there lol!!!🤣🔥👏

Did you have yo re ignite pellets half way through? Its been 2 hrs and my pellers have burnt halfway and dont seem to be continuing to burn?
@MaddieandKiki Жыл бұрын
We never reload the pellets because we feel the smoky flavour that the first round of pellets adds, is quite enough!!! Great questions though, Helix!
@TylerNally2 жыл бұрын
Looks super yummy! Questions... What was the temp at the 1 hour mark? I ask because my cataracts prevent me from seeing things of fine detail especially where there isn't high contrast. What was the ending temperature?
@2Wheels_NYC2 жыл бұрын
Ending temp for beef BBQ is generally 203°, but I'll defer to the ladies.
@MaddieandKiki2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tyler! At the one hour mark, the temp was as high as 166 in some parts of the ribs (We always probe multiple areas of the ribs because all areas give slightly different temps). The final temp was as high as 206 in some areas and 195 in some areas. It’s all a matter of tenderness preference when smoke beef ribs low and slow. For a more tender result keep them smoking for longer, but we like a little texture to ours!!! Grill on!!!!😍🔥👏

Low and slow isn't what this unit does. It runs to hot, not allowing enough rendering time and dries out the meat.
