Phyllis was the passive aggressive kind but even then angela kept her down so that didnt do much. You notice people attack each other from the high ground in certain situations. Pam failed at something so she gets attacked for that. Ryan gets attacked for failing and being a temp. Angela during christmas thx to phyllis knowing her secret.

Pam was the glue that held it all Together and I adore her. Pam was actually Dwight’s best friend, despite his animosity here. She’s the only that left to join Michael when he quit, because she is loyal❤️

ok, seriously now, I don't understand the Pam hate Pam has a deep relationship with all the main characters, has great character growth and Jenna acts frighteningly well Pam's personality is focused on the past, which is why she always stays where she is, and rarely takes risks, like breaking up with Roy or trying to become an artist, she stays in that bad relationship because it's the only thing that she knows, and she is obviously denying her feelings for Jim, precisely because she has been with Roy for years (remembering that he is her first and only boyfriend) Her character growth is about being more courageous and honest about her feelings Pam from the first season would never follow Michael to another company, nor take a position for herself, or talk about her feelings in public Pam learned to take risks, and not just sit around waiting for things to happen and get better, she is an incredible character

All valid points. I think it's also valid to opine that these are all "terrible people," at least by TV standards where one can write a character as morally perfect. And there are moments when every last one of the show's characters does horrible things, which I can understand cross the line for some in certain instances but not for others.

I love Pam. she is my favorite in the show. she is the most compassionate person in the show. She has more emotional intelligence than the rest of them. She understands people very well.She helps. I love how she became strong from being a shy girl in the beginning to going after what she wants. Roy is cruel to pam in many situations, that is the biggest reason for her low confidence. With Jim she became strong. She has great friendship with Dwight, Michael. People who comment Pam is toxic, really failed to see her character growth. I love her.

I absolutely loved Pam during the first half of the show, but once she started losing her innocence (such as lying about being office administrator) and started getting cocky at times, I just wasn't rooting for her as much. Especially, her animosity towards Ryan, while he seemed to settle down with his insults toward her toward the last few seasons, really annoyed me. Yeah, Ryan was a loser, crazy, not reliable, and a liar, but he got to the point where he didn't try to hide it, and Pam just started to seem a little self-entitled or self-righteous, acting like she had no flaws whatsoever. Yeah, I will probably get a lot of criticism for what I say. Oh, well.

I'm not even so sure about Jim. He was often awful to Dwight, toeing the line to bullying, and he was also kinda unfair towards Pam in the last seasons. Acting like she was holding him back from going after his dreams while she was working and taking care of two toddlers was a low blow, given how she was the girl of his dreams and the love of his life. And she was so reasonable, patient and understanding too. Jim was solely responsible for his own lack of career and this dead end he was in, the ultimate slacker.
