In this video we're exploring amazing beaches on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic with our friends ‪@JumpingPlaces‬ . So many people have recommended this beaches and after getting some bad weather we're finally going to Playa Grande and Playa Caleton in Rio San Juan. About an hour from Cabarete these are two of the best beaches in the country. We have the best lunch at the beach from stall #12 at Playa Grande.
Later we head the Piscina Natural and then Playa Caleton where we enjoy time on the beach, have a swim, and then hike through the jungle to find a hidden beach.

Great video. Next time go to Laguna Gri Gri. It’s in Río San Juan. You have to do a tour there, you will go for miles through mangroves and beautiful beaches. It’s stunning! You will love it.

Playa caleton is very special for me it’s like two hours away from my hometown I used to go there with my family twice a year when I was 8 or 10 years old,it bring me a lot of lovely memories. I love Playa Carleton. I fell in love with Río San Juan and Cabrera. The heads at 14:12 & 17:13 represents a tribute to the Taino Indians. 15:58 is called Playa Pontón. You must visit Laguna Gri Gri, Laguna Dudu, and El Saltadero. As you leave Playa Grande on the left near the entrance is Playa Preciosa, which has beautiful scenery!

Oh Playa Grande! I love that beach Glad you went. Very close to playa Grande is Playa El Diamante and Laguna Dudu. There is a place full of mangroves is Laguna Gri Gri in Río San Juan you can take a tour around the mangroves

Merry Christmas week, what a way to spend a holiday week! gorgeous. Not to go negative BUT it is good to tell the bad with the good. whenever I bring up DR many people say oh no, very dangerous, people pickpocketed, beat up and stuff stolen from them? do you feel or see any of this? are these resort people that never get out in the real world being dramatic? do you worry about your stuff on the beach when swimming? walking through towns? and staying on the bad, how bad are mosquitoes especially in the mangrove areas? saw the one girl put her pareo over her, assuming it was for mosquitoes? thanks so much, love the videos but wondering if these are negative myths or any truth to them

Merry xmas! So we have videos on our channel about safety here in the DR. We also bring it up quite often while filming. We navigate through this country on our own and that's with knowing just a little Spanish. We've never had one single issue anywhere and we don't just stay in tourist places sometimes. So we feel entirely safe, we worry about our stuff on the beach just like we would home in Canada, we spray often for mosquitoes because at times there are a lot (when it rains) and just use common sense overall. Hey Trever & Anna the boat tour you guys are talking about is at the "Gri Gri Lagoon" in Rio San Juan just 15 minutes from the beach.
