Why We Love Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Friends Visit for First Time | Cabarete Puerto Plata

In this video we have friends visiting from Canada and we're showing them how much we love the Dominican Republic.
We're taking them around Cabarete, Puerto Plata to show them some of our favourite things to do. We first head to Wilson's for lunch (where you have to go down a road and then take a small boat to the restaurant), where we have an amazing lunch on the beach and watch the Kite Surfers.

Later we have a beach day at Cabarete beach where we rent loungers and umbrellas for a full day. And at the end of the video we make a big bonfire on the beach with friends.

The chicken and the fish taste so good in the DR because its completely organic and natural. Food in the DR is extremely fresh. Its basically from the farm or the sea to your mouth.

The DR government should make you foreign ambassadors of the DR. You do a better job at selling the wonders of the DR than some locals that actually get paid to do that. Last time I visited I talk to someone from the Ministry of Tourism that mentioned that they are actually trying to make that a thing. I hope it becomes a reality though.

We routinely go eat at Wilson’s when in DR. We started going there in 2010. His restaurant/ shack was on the other side of water then( where you get picked up now)….The owner “ Wilson” is a very nice man😁

Alternate way to get to Wilson’s……..drive/taxi to Wilson’s house on the main road (you can’t miss it, there’s a large sign that’s says “Wilson’s) from there you can take an approx. 20 minute river cruise to the restaurant. At Wilson’s house while waiting for the boat they’ll introduce you to the snake and a tarantula!!

You can get to Wilson's with his small ferry down the river from the highway to sabaneta. there's a really cool place in the middle of the river, must see! nice houses around the edge. would make a great video. Also the bike or trekking trail from la Boca to The Cabarete caves through the hills.

Would LOVE to have the source of that statement, without source you could just say anything, like "breaking into someones home is legal according to the police". Because I know quite a few beaches where it's NOT legal to have bonfires, without the proper authorization. So, please state the source of your statement as I think it's rather questionable. I don't say it's "illegal", because if you didn't know, here in the DR, there are ALOT of things that aren't actually legal, however, NOBODY cares. Run the red traffic light, nobody cares.. Lol...
