Guys, thanks for a great reaction video. This is another display of Sohyang's versatility, both in the environment and in her rendition of the song. Two things I discovered about this performance that can go unnoticed; first, this is Dollie Parton's arrangement and rendition of this song (I believe Dollie wrote it), and second, because there are only a few instruments here on the pier, she SANG the Saxophone Solo. She continues to be surprising, and it is just very rewarding to follow her. BTW, Sohyang is fluent in three languages. She learned American-style English from watching the Disney Channel as a child. 😊 Cheers.

This was a part of Begin Again Korea during the Covid pandemic and filmed at the Posco Steel Company dock. The other people in the video are all extremely talented artists. All the singers shown in the video performed duets with Sohyang during Begin Again Korea show and are on KZbin. The guy next to Sohyang is Henry Lau, an amazing musician and singer, and has several videos from a couple seasons of Begin Again Korea.

The program is Begin Again, a Korean TV show. The Begin Again cast is comprised of singers who have excellent live performances, among others. This is because they have to sing live in front of the public in an outdoor space, rather than in a set indoor studio. The reason why other singers who appear together look at Sohyang blankly is because Sohyang's song is a singer whose resonance is completely different in quality when viewed on TV and in real life, so everyone looks at Sohyang as if they are bewitched with respectful eyes. In other interviews, all the cast members said that Sohyang is like a textbook in the vocal world and is like a being born to sing. Another singer expressed Sohyang, saying that there are a few singers around the world that I would not be able to reach even if I tried in my life, and the representative singer is Sohyang. Michael Bolton, a famous American legendary singer, also praised Sohyang's performance, saying, "After watching Sohyang's performance, it is like a master's performance(To paraphrase Bolton's words about Sohyang: Level of virtuoso)."

This is a busking TV show called "Begin Again Korea" which is hosted by JTBC in S.Korea. As far as I know, Sohyang participated in this show in the 2020 season, and this video shows her performing at a steel mill owned by POSCO, a South Korean company. It is said that Sohyang's physical condition was not good during the busking performance period, and she could only show about 30% of her full vocal ability.

This was during COVID. Charity concert for essential workers. SoHyang did these charity concerts regularly during the time. It's inspiring watching her happily perform in churches and small concerts after turning down huge contracts from global agencies.

In case you weren't aware, the PHENOMENAL So Hyang actually sang the saxophone solo part of the original song. This event was part of the Begin Again Korea - 2020 mini concert series. During the pandemic, So Hyang, along with famous musicians and popular K-Pop artists, toured South Korea, performing mini accoustic concerts, to bring comfort to people during the pandemic. The crowds were small because of Covid19 guidelines. The audience was selected through a lottery.
