Maybe just a crazy theory here. I know this didn't have anything to do with Gorr's daughter, but you're theory about a dimension hopping Thor movie lends more weight to what I've been thinking for a while now. Firstly I don't think her name is actually Love because Thor's name clearly isn't thunder, also I'm sure Gorr had already given her a name and that would be kinda weird to just abandon it, but I will refer to her as Love for ease. Even if it is her name though, I think her character is gonna draw a lot from Magik(Illyana Rasputin). The way her eyes glowed with like a dark magic first made me think of it. In the comics, Illyana doesn't die like Love, but she grows up and learns magic in an alternate dimension called Limbo. We think of being between life and death as Limbo, and when Love was brought back by Eternity she had magic, so she pretty much learned magic in Limbo. Illyana is also a mutant, on top of knowing magic, and her mutant power is to teleport across time and space, Love was given Stormbreaker which can already do one of those things by opening the Byfrost, and I'm thinking with Love's magic from Eternity it might be able to do the other or even cross to other universes. Love's father Gorr wielded the Necrosword, a dark magic sword forged at the beginning of the universe, which started infecting his body with black stuff. Magik wields a sword call the soul sword which she magically forged in Limbo from her soul, which starts covering her body more and more in black armor, and it wouldn't be unhears of for a character to lose their God killing weapon and then creat another one and it'd pretty poetic if it was like a pure version of what corrupted her father. I know for sure Magik was the Enchantress in Asgard in a What If story, and I'm pretty sure she has ridden into battle with the Valkyrior at various points, and Love is set up with the Asgardians now so she could easily grow into either of those positions. And to top it off, Love randomly had that little dragon toy that the movie focused in on. Which is crazy, cause Illyana has a purple toy dragon which is called Lockheed and becomes real in Limbo. Just sayin, Love is Magik.

I think it's based on ur beliefs like real life like in Black Panther Killmonger and his dad technically made it to the Wakandan afterlife but because they weren't given proper burials they couldn't rest with the ancestors... and in Moonknight Marc was Jewish, but Steven believed in the Enead and was actively interacting with them before the whole moonknight thing while Marc didn't seem to be still practicing his Judaism so Steven's beliefs won but even still they had to follow those rules of balancing their souls or not being allowed entry to the Field of Reeds... same with Jane I don't think she had religious beliefs but then her interacting with Thor and Asgard changed that plus she died in 2 battles (fighting Gorr and Cancer)... but this is just my interpretation I could be wrong

No, we all most certainly do not agree. Nor does the movie, as there is literally a scene of Thor picking up Mjölnir before Jane can pick up back "Oh, just checking if still can" or some such, and then given it back to her.The movie is literally telling you the enchantment is there, Thor's own enchantment just explains why the hammers actively looks after her.

@@louisvictor3473 He said "I'm just weighting it", not "checking if I still can". Of course he checked, because he wanted to be sure if he's still worthy, which implies, that Odin's enchantment may still be in place even after his passing. Thor's enchantment "protect her for me at all cost" may just overwrite the original Odin's enchantment, making Jane worthy, because that's the only way Mjölnir ever knows to protect anyone, by making them worthy of wielding it. If Odin's enchantment no longer existed, anyone could wield the hammer, but may only use it to protect Jane by Thor's enchantment. But since "only those who are worthy may wield this hammer and posess the power of Thor" seems to be still in place (Jane taking the hammer gives her Thor's powers), she must be worthy.

Just throwing this out there, but I really feel like "Thor: Love and Thunder" jumped the shark and took a massive dump on what was already established in the MCU up to this point. Beforehand, it was established that Gods don't exist in this universe. Beings that we humans perceive as gods are just more advanced civilizations. Even Odin states this directly in the first Thor Movie with the line "We are not gods. We grow old and die." But this movie states that gods and deities are just that, immortal gods who want to be worshiped. It also contradicts what was established in the Eternals. In that movie, they made it clear that the non-norse gods of earth are just human interpretations of the Eternals themselves (the legend of Athena is just humans telling stories of Thena). But now, all of those gods DO exist and they live in some gold city in space. So does that mean both Thena AND Athena exist? Is there both a Cersei and Sersi? The fact that they are adding gods, deities, and afterlifes to the MCU doesn't sit right with me, because it contradicts the grounded nature of the MCU until now. They made it seem like everything is grounded in science and not fantasy or mythology. But it seems like that sentiment no longer exists. Not saying any of this took away my enjoyment of Thor: Love and Thunder, but I feel like Feige is taking the MCU in a very far out direction.

It’s more in line with the comics, and as a comics nerd, I love it. It’s a bit convoluted but I like it. Also theirs rumors that Norman reedus is coming to play the Ghost Rider. And he’s a spawn of satan. And later it turns out a creation of Yahweh. So there has to be gods or at least God.
@Oleus2 жыл бұрын
Well it's a little bit more complicated than that, isn't it ? They've "soft-rebooted" the whole Asgardians-are-not-gods-thing a long time ago and the concepts of gods and afterlife(s) of the MCU didn't exactly appear out of thin air with Thor love and Thunder. We already had the egyptian gods with a pretty clear explanation about the afterlife not too long ago, in Moon Knight. We also had the Ghost rider and Hell in Agents of SHIELD and one can easily argue that a version of the character might totally exist in the main cinematic universe, too. To be honest, The Eternals is the movie that doesn't fit that well in the continuity but the presence of Celestials at Omnipotence city might explain the connection... The MCU has always been a huge patchwork of different things, opposite vibes and contradictory ambiences, just like the comics are. It's supposed to be a universe with grim stories of vigilantes fighting gangs in Hell Kitchen and colourful silly-looking aliens living in the severed head of a giant alien at the same time... you can say that you don't like the tone of the more comedic movies of the franchise, but that's just a matter of perception of things. The same story can always be told in a tragic or comedic way, without even changing its events and dialogues.

Tony doesn't believe in an afterlife...he is a man of science...Moon Knight established that one must have a belief in the after life to go there. Jane was a Thor so even without believing she goes to Valhalla.

When did Thor wish for stark to ascend to Valhalla? I just don’t recall when that happened.

Thor and Hercules will fight and be enemies and best friends and probably have to fight again in a way that is gut wrenching...... Know how I know? Because it's simple to predict that Brett Goldstein and Chris Hemsworth will become crazy fun friends and that will show up on screen. They'll do several other fun movies together.

Wouldn’t tony not go to Valhalla since that’s not the afterlife he believed in?

He believed in no after life afaik, but I am sure he believed Thor existed and his people too. So his options were random or "my buddy's turff". Yes, no guarantee, but the door for it is open, it doesn't clash with anything.

Everyone's going to Valhalla, Thanos, hela, gor, you, and me are all going cause marvel makes whatever rules they want. Even if stark doesn't believe in that mythology he's getting in cause simply you want to put him in. That makes perfect sense.

The only version of HELA, I imagine entering Valhalla, is the variant of her, who became a hero.

The one hole in this theory is Tonys body didnt fade into light like Odin and Jane wouldnt his whole body and essence go there when he died.

I think it’s interesting that Thor told Sif she wouldn’t make it to Vahalla if she died after the battle but Jane dies after the battle and makes it to Vahalla. 🙃

As long as stark is back all is worth it

What would be the conversion between hela and Odin in Valhalla??

Would that mean Professor Hulk has achieved God-hood as well since he snapped before Stark?

I wouldn't trust Ebony Maw's words a bit. He was exaggerating, because he worshipped Thanos on every step.
