In interviews, Alex was really open about how miserable he was throughout this process and didn't recommend it to anyone... He said he felt like he was always starving. Not saying not to be healthy! But just know that this kind of diet is really only good for preparing for a bodybuilding competition and stuff (short term). Glad he mentioned that in the video.

It's cheaper to eat like this.. Rice, beans, potatoes, Peanuts, cabbage, eggs, polluck, catfish, tilapia..you can get a whole turkey for $.68-$.90/lb. Pork is cheap and naturally lean. You could fill a whole grocery cart for like $150. A box of Captain Crunch is like $4/$5..

The trainer said the number 1 reason all these celebrities have that gets them in amazing shape: They can afford it! Either it is the clean meals, the trainers, the workouts, the drugs. The complete package. Everything is on point and let's be honest, when you know that million dollars check is coming and they just want you to show up, you will show up and give it your all. This is extremely helpful but I needed to keep it more simple for myself personally and that might not be as tasty but that’s not why you do this. I would go white knuckle and cut out all sweets and only eat healthy food that are cheap and easily prepared like eggs, chicken and spinach. I ate that for more than half my meals for a few months and the results were great. All these menu items are amazing but can be overwhelming.

@John Kelly lol what did you expect? It is always like this. Fitness models photoshoots, random IG fitness guys/girls do it prior to photo. All movies have pumped actors for scenes where their muscle can shine. Only people who do not understand this are always frustrated, "why I dont look like him". Even they does not look like "they" most of the year and if they do they prep for it for days. Even instastars - eating next to nothing to have nice flat belly in the morning, drinking sugar water pump it out for all they veins to pop, take 100 pictures in multiple outfits and recycle it for 3 months. For hollywood stars, they always do pump to look extra big: Christian Bale in batman pushups scene Jason Momoa - all the time he had short sleves or was shirtless Chris evans - same as Momoa Hugh Jackman too Chris Hemsworth all the time They want to have their best version on screen day. You think they paid him diet, personal trainer, private cook to look flat and skinny in final cut? Just that shape they are in for the few days/weeks it is not how they look most of the year. Hugh Jackman for Wolverine shirtless scene against Mariko's father was dehydrated for 2 days to look supershredded, probably on tren apart of other substances as well. He had terrible headaches that day, sore throat and was more than happy when they finished that part of the movie. He had to go through this just for that single scene, nobody cared how he looked the next day.

what happened to the intermittent fasting and eating 2-3 times and keeping the blood sugar levels low? Internet is full of info and everyone tells a different story. Is it ok to eat that frequently and spend the day with constantly elevated insulin/blood sugar levels? Or is it better to eat your macros in 2-3 meals as long as you follow the calorie intake according to your situation?

@@tyger1104 "Aside from newbie gains its impossible for a natty to gain muscle while on a deficit ." This statement is only partially true. "Newbie gains" are a combination of how far you are from your genetic limit and your body fat percentage. It actually has nothing to do with being a newbie. It is only called so since newbies get a lot of gains, even when cutting. If you're an experienced trainer, overweight and train while on a deficit, you will still be able to gain, just not as fast. When your body fat gets lower, the gains will start diminishing and eventually your body will start feeding more on your lean mass. At this point a newbie will most likely still be able gain and continue cutting whereas an experienced trainer will only be attempting to maintain (Easily if he consumes about ~1.6g protein per kg lean body weight and his cut is less than 500kcal per day).

Zigy Zig if you’re looking for health benefits from fasting, you probably won’t get any. There’s just zero evidence from studies that long term IF has any benefits. For me, the benefit of IF is just eating giant meals and makes cutting so much easier for me.

@@Ash12428 yup. it's just another way of reducing the amount of calories that you eat. it cannot work for everyone. I, for example, get hungry every 4 hours and I cannot eat large amounts of food in one sitting. If I would fast, I would pretty much be almost always hungry and miserable and probably bloated during my eating window. But then again I have a friend that usually skips breakfast just because he feels that eating first thing in the morning nauseates him and then at about 2-3 p.m he can eat an entire store of food. So it's really about each individual and what type of regiment works for specific goals.

All these different diets, intermittent fasting, etc etc. Losing weight/body fat is not fucking rocket science. Calories in vs. calories out. THAT'S IT. Simple. Nothing else to talk about. At the end of the day, it's all mind games. The only reason being on a diet is tough is because the body constantly fights back, crying out for more food, and that's what makes people fail, cause they give in to that. The only reason so many different diet plans and IF exists is because people found different ways to trick their brains into believing they have eaten enough when they really haven't, in order to keep on losing weight/body fat over a prolonged period of time, and they can cope with it on that particular method, then they marketed it off to ignorant sheep who don't know any better like it's some kind of voodoo magic. Whatever 'benefits' IF or one diet has over another is either a bunch of horse crap, or so negligible you ask yourself why waste your time in the first place. No diet or dieting method is 'better' than another, it's simply more tolerable to one person than it is to another.

@@wooowlaa529 I'm just going by recommended guidelines from health professionals! There's no health advantage to being that heavy. It's just a modern cultural thing for guys to want to be big and muscular like their favourite sports/movie stars. 200 pounds isn't unhealthy as long as it's not all fat but it's definitely hovering on the borderline of being overweight.

@@BannedPhotoshop you don't know shit. Roids don't automatically make you big and bulky. It's very common for Hollywood actors to use t or other peds to get in shape fast especially when they are inexperienced/fat and older cause roids really just reduce your recovery time which means you can do a year or two worth of training in 6 months depending on how much gear you use. Bodybuilders and strongmen are only freakishly large cause they are all ready at the top of their physiology and then they add ped's to get to superhuman levels.

It's actually about right. It could be a little bit higher maybe but usually you max out protein synthesis after 70% lb/g so for 200 pounds would be 140g of protein. Some people do more protein but science shows that there is little benefit after reaching 70% so 135 can be appropriate for regular training
