The fluke is a confidence bait for me as well. And my favorite color to use is pink. I don’t know why… they just seem to hammer is more than any other color. I used to use the powerbait, until I discovered the Berkley Gulp jerk shad. It’s basically the same lure, except it’s soaked in the most disgusting juice you’ve ever smelled. I’m convinced I catch more fish because of the scent, and scent dispersion.

I’m a firm believer in the Zoom Super Fluke in pearl! And guess what, it’s good for bass and it’s good for saltwater too!

I used to use a white super fluke for everything, fresh and saltwater. But one day I decided to use the Berkley Gulp jerk shad. And I’ve been hooked ever since. I use pink for fresh water, and chartreuse for saltwater. The gulps are more expensive, and way less durable… but they flat out catch more fish.

Cats are fun but I’ve had mixed success on an UL. I still have my boys using a Zebco, so need to have the drag dialed in… and let them play out instead of horsin’’em in 😬.

Why does the chart duece (or other Chartruese baits) work so well for you guys in clear water? I thought it was more of a off color water bait, but you guys are saying you can see the fish on the bottom, yet they are hitting those colors? Ideas? I don't throw it much because my water is clear, but wondering if I need to change that thought process..
