I truly appreciate the fact that this diet does not restrict number of meals. When I did intermittent fasting I would only eat like 2 full meal, but I was never always satisfied. So to see that you can eat 5 meals that are all reasonably proportioned is very intriguing

@@agustina09010 Corsets aren't actually bad for you. Hollywood movies have made us think that. They were initially used as bras, or just as support for their backs because the dresses were just that big (during Belle's time period in France). Furthermore, Emma not wearing a corset made the dress choices much smaller, as they couldn't use dresses from Belle's time period, which made Belle's final dress very uninspiring and bland. @IdolEyes843 жыл бұрын

@@IdolEyes84 that’s not the point. If he’s going to give out advice to thousands of people, he should have given some quick examples on the differences between the carbs. Because this is the first time I’ve ever heard of “slow” carbs.
@markus48873 жыл бұрын
Ok think about it in this way: Its whole vs. processed foods. Slow carbs/good fats are whole foods. Fast carbs/bad fats are processed foods. Ok what does "whole foods" actually mean? Nothing good taken out, nothing bad added. Examples brown rice is a slow carb, white rice is a fast carb (its proccesed, the good fiber has been taken out). Peanuts are good fats, Peanut butter is a bad fat (in most peanut butter something bad is added: some kind of ultraprocessed oil). For peanut butter there is an exception: peanut butter with 100% peanuts, nothing good taken away and nothing bad added, just grinded peanuts. Technically still processed, but does not count as a processed food (this is why i defined whole foods/processed foods before). The ratio of whole foods to processed foods is scientifically proven a better measurement for a good diet quality (and health) than food quantitiy.

I love this diet so much, it really is sustainable and healthy. I know movie stars usually go on crazy protein based diets to get in-shape for roles. If you do that all the time, it can really take a long term tole on the body. A balance of good, clean, whole, nutritious, colorful food is always the best way to go (of course some medical conditions require straying from that) Treating yourself and allowing for some less healthy meals is also so important. It's also sustainable because you won't always be in a place where you can control the food you eat. I've eaten 100% clean for years and a cheat day for me is the exact same foods, but eating as much of them as I want and not worrying too much about how many calories I'm consuming on that day. If you're sticking to a strict diet like that, the size of the portions won't affect you all that much. You can take my word on that.

This is actually pretty close to the 80/20 rule and a really healthy approach to nutrition. 16/20 meals might be a little easier for the average person as it gives you 1 in 5 meals to treat yourself and if working in a 4 day cycle of 20 meals allows you to have a little treat once a day if you spread them evenly! Food's main purpose is to nourish you but it also serves an emotional purpose and should be enjoyed. I feel like this attitude hits the nail on the head pretty well, and gives people simple guidelines to follow, and the macros and calories are pretty spot on (though I would do slightly less protein and slightly more carbs, depending on the type of exercise you do)

This is excellent! I just wonder where the fruit is incorporated? I know fruit naturally has tons of sugar but vitamin c is necessary

Fruit is a slow carb because of the fiber. Fiber stops your blood sugar from spiking:)
