Angus maybe no scientific vase for training twice, but it might be more of a mental thing? As for the front squat into a OHP, you see it a lot in CrossFit so maybe he bases his training on that more than bodybuilding exercises

@Angus the scientific base is volume, they didn't have the time to fit all those workouts doing one a day. The squat to press is a really old movement that every sport athletes have done cause is a strength & conditioning move. One of the few that the crossfiters do right.

Why would you choose a deficit trap bar deadlift rather than, say, an RDL and a squat, which are harder for lower weights and will be more muscle specific with less axial loading? Genuine question.

I'm confused.. does the studio send the actors to the trainer? Or do the actors personally seek out the trainer particularly for the role?
@umbrellasan53636 жыл бұрын
I guess they seek out
@cecile92396 жыл бұрын
Both? Like Brie Larson wanted him because of the training he gave to Emily Blunt, so I guess she asked the production company, they gave their OK, then she reached out, stating that she wanted to train for a role and the production company was xyz. I don't think anyone can come up to him and be trained like that, even if they are actors.

Depends. If you're a nobody, then the trainer comes on your own dime in hopes you can break onto the scene. If you're a star, the studio will provide for you.

Ever hear the phrase "I know a guy who..." ? That is sort of what Hollywood is, somebody (perhaps the assistant or direct or production team) will suggest said person. It comes down to connections. As for who pays for it? Maybe the actor, but the actor can write it off for tax purpose or send the bill to the studio.

This video is so incredibly interesting. It makes me sad that people often focus on training as something actresses do to get skinny enough to fit a dumb beauty standard when it's actually much more about the practical aspects of a role and the character building. There was so much in this video that I had no idea about, but I'm so much more invested in this part of the movie-making process now.

Cool video. Does this also include nutrition, or is there another person who sets that up and the two coordinate with each other?
@HKspec0096 жыл бұрын
Ideally all 3 people (trainer,trainee,nutritionist) will be in constant communication. Trainer says what is required, nutritionist then tailors the diet to meet that requirement and trainee follows. More often than not, depending on the size of the trainer's organisation, they'll do the nutrition aspect themselves or have in house nutritionists.
@sweett75096 жыл бұрын
@@HKspec009 what you said. There's so much that's going on with each individual portion of getting an actor ready, it's way more efficient to have a team that handles as much preparation as they can.

I'm so excited! I did not think weight training could help heal my spine, neck, and shoulder pain! I'm a dancer. Why don't dancers weight train? Thank you for sharing!
@woooweee6 жыл бұрын
Because dancing is calisthenics, weight training always comes with a risk of injury.
@defuzins6 жыл бұрын
@@woooweee Yes and no, the training i do is athletic and movement based. I'm like 150lbs 5'8 and can squat, 280, deadlift 450, and jump like 40 inches' vertically 10 feet broad jump. So i like to think im strong, and can move very well.. There's a balance that people need to address in their programming. I'm a former college athlete and current Strength coach so i study this stuff cause it's a responsibility of mine. As for dancing, it's a lot of control control, stability, overall strength, and BREATHING. Just looking at the movements of a dancer, it's very smooth so teaching yourself how to breathe SHOULD be in the workout protocol.
