I think the shirt exploding was symbolic, in that Logan clearly says he wears the outfit as a symbol of his failure and in honor of the x-men who were lost, but at the end, he was able to step past that pain and failure to help the new teammate. He no longer needed it. He did keep the mask because he’s still Wolverine.

I will always say, Paradox's big F bomb when Deadpool reveals they aren't dead is the most heartfelt F bomb I've heard. Also I thought the Anchor Being talk was meta commentary about how after RDJ left, the MCU has been in it's 'low point' and the fact he's returning being a ploy to help them get back to their top spot.

The scene of Cassandra inside Logan's head could actually be a reference to the World War Hulk comics. There's a few panels where Dr Strange is inside Hulk's mind trying to stop him from rampaging across the world. He gets Hulk to turn back into Banner, who explains all his heartache to Strange about how he finally had peace and then his new home was completely destroyed along with his wife and unborn child, and he says he hears her voice all the time. Strange kneels down next to him to comfort him and says "I've got you" to which Banner replies "Nope, I've got you" then grabs his arms, turns back into the Hulk, breaks his hands to weaken his spells and forces him out of his mind. Very similar to what happens with Cassandra and the helmet

Like... I was never a die-hard X-men fan - still ain't. But I remember X-1 and X-2. And, seeing the behind the scenes over the credits? Seeing Blade? Seeing that honouring and joy? Made me cry. Which... it something. As for future wolverines? Cavill is an interesting choice, but I really just want Laura. Give Dafne Keen the mantle. She's new, she's different, and you can tell new and different stories that still are intimately tied to and honour the X franchise and Logan as legacy. And, Dafne Keen has played the role well, and I think she has earned to chance to move that character forward.

Laura as Wolverine happens in the comics and it feels like the best route they could take. I may be biased since Deadpool had a really great teamup with her, Honeybadger (a younger clone of X-23) and her pet Wolverine the Wolverine but I really do hope that's the route they go if they pass the mantle to her

I just realised, the reason there are sooo many Deadpools in the Void is not just because Deadpool is a pain in the ass and high up on the "most likely to get booted out of a universe" list, but also because often Deadpool literally can't die, or very close to that. They are high on the list of beings mostly likely to survive a universe getting pruned or destroyed, AND high on the list of beings most likely to survive the void itself. Just like there are many Lokis in the void of course there are many Deadpools too.

What kinda bummed me out was that we're never gonna get the iconic Spider-Man/Deadpool bromance from the comics. But then this movie set everything right with "Every Deadpool has a Peter" and it's just that comic Peter happens to sling webs. And I really should've picked up on that in Deadpool 2. Also: The Avoiders

When Wade and Logan are competing the circuit, there are flashbacks to Wade’s birthday party that revealed his apartment was completely empty (except for maybe Blind Al). The story really hits that for most of the movie it isn’t about saving the multi verse. It’s about saving their family’s. Deadpool wants to save Wolverine because he thinks he deserves a better life. Wolverine saves Deadpool because he has a life worth living. At the end of it all. Logan didn’t need the suit anymore, because his family is now wade and his friends. He quite literally freed himself from his past.

One of my favorite things not mentioned is at the very end! Logan stand up to leave, walking away from Wade. Logan said to Cassandra earlier in the movie: “I walked away. They called after me and I walked away. I always do…” There is so much shame there in him, knowing he could have saved everyone if he just turned back when they called for him, to show them he cared about them. And then at the end, Logan walks off, Wade calls out for him…and Logan stops and turns around. He doesn’t walk away. What a moment🥹

Minor detail I really liked is how this time they let Logan keep the mask until his suit fell apart bc in so many recent projects, they prioritized actor face visibility over the cinematic feel of seeing a character with their mask on (first thought is how we barely actually see the 3 Spiderman in NWH with their masks on, and the majority of their screen time is with their masks off)

Now that we’re less than a week away from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, now’s a good time to do EGA Sonic 2. The hype for the third film is real and my most hyped film of the year, more so than Deadpool and Wolverine. Saved the best film for last. Bring on Live and Learn!

That moment with Casandra in Logan's head is honestly a great representation of dealing with an overactive head/overthinking/overstimulating and PTSD. Literally silencing the voices in his head for a brief moment of nothing, as somebody who deals with shit like that, I felt it on a spiritual level lmao. On another note, even as the movie first released I felt the ending was bittersweet, because Wade and Logan fought to save their timeline and ultimately it does get restored, but in 5 to 6 years it's about to be schlorped into the MCU proper anyway after Secret Wars. With probably pretty much everybody recast except for Ryan as Deadpool.

"There's only been one Blade, only ever gonna BE one Blade" uhhh, Mr Snipes? Sir? There's a 'Sticky Fingaz' here and I think he wants a word with you? Also, I just want to take a moment to say how incredible I think Emma Corrin was as Cassandra Nova.Such a compellingly sadistic villain and arguably the perfect antithesis of Charles. I can't wait to track down and watch more of their work.

About there only being one Blade: There was a Blade TV show, so technically there already are two Blades, with a possible third coming.

Another hint/theory behind nicepool lacking a healing factor is because he’s the owner of dogpool. And that dogpool has essentially been protecting nicepool. I love the little touch of the matching earrings between them too.

When Deadpool first greats Elektra, Blade, and Gambit he says "You must the the others" (in reference to Johnny Storm also saying "the others" which is what tipped Wade off to their existence), and honestly I think that's a pretty good name for them. Not only are they not attached to the two major Marvel cinema franchises (MCU or Fox's X-Men), but they also aren't attached to the two major factions in the void (Deadpool Corps or Cassandra's group). So it works both in-universe and in a meta sense, and also just sounds neat.

Though it was originally used in Transformers Marvel comics, a cool name for this team up could be The Survivors, given as how a majority of them come from universes that longer exist.

ALL the Deadpool movies are "By fans, for fans," this one was just a "Thank You" to Fox for paving the way to superhero movies as we know them today.

6:35 I took this opportunity to procrastinate studying for my exams and instead create a whole list. I have thought up several options: - “Deadpool and the Discount Avengers“ (all misfits stuck in the void. Alternatively also „Great Value Avengers“) - “Chaotic Neutral Squad” (Probably my favorite) - “Wade/Deadpool and Company” (as a twist to the original name of the movie ‘Deadpool and Friend’) - “Claw and Order” (Probably fits the Logan + Laura team-up better) - “Voidwalkers Anonymous” (Sounds like an AA group and this kind of fits the bunch as a support group xD) - “Sad Bois and Stabby Girls United” (Lets be real, they are all traumatized with some lethal energy) - “Void-certified Baddies” (My sister wanted me to add this one. I don’t have TikTok but apparently it’s TikTok lingo?) - “Team SSY (Stab-Stab-Yeet)“ (They all like to either use sharp objects, throw people around and blow them up) - “The Marvelous Mess“ (since Deadpool os Marvel Jesus, let’s have a MARVELous mess…) pls don’t kill me for that pun xD
