while it was an enjoyable movie, another look into the lovely world of boku no hero academia, especially on a global note and seeing my country (singapore) included, i actually not entirely like those continuous motion shots at win 60 because of how rough the art style looks. yes, the animation is smoother than room temperature butter, but the art style makes it look unfinished and i feel that perhaps with more time, they could have polished those scenes better. bakugo’s fight against the powered up version of the villains made me admire him even more, because i was at a loss of how he could possibly win against them. i hops to see more rody and siblings in the future somehow. the ending sequence of the compilation of class 1-a and everyone one is heart warming too.

This is one of those movies you have to watch at least twice. It was amazing on the first watch through, but the second time around was even better because I got to appreciate the full use of Rody's quirk. I especially love the scene where Rody is gonna give up the briefcase, but Pino is desperately trying to wake Deku up. It shows that Rody knows that what he's doing is wrong and he secretly hopes Deku would stop him from making a mistake. Also the theme of "Never Give Up" was brilliantly done. Rody got to see the big difference between someone like Flect Turn who gave up on life, and Deku who never gives up no matter how hard life gets and it inspired him to better his life. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

One thing I feel like should be brought up more often is the animated choreography. I really want to see your reaction and your commentary to Astra Lost In Space because its so underrated Its a short 12 ep anime with the first and last ep being 50 minutes

I think the problem with this movie is that this one is the only one that wasn't planned by the author, they did it because the previous one made a lot of money and because they worked in this movie at the same time as season 5, that season suffered a bit from it, so people got mad because everyone was waiting for the villain arc to be animated ever since it happened in the manga. Also, this movie is canon and a lot of stuff in here are referenced or mentioned later on in the story, such as overseas heroes and stuff, and the thing about Deku being obviously stronger here in the movie and using 100% at the end with no lasting injuries as we were told would happen if he did back in season 3 is also something that will be addressed and explained in season 6 of the anime.

I mean the doctor in season 3 said he could get injured like he did in his fight against muscular (not just breaking bones but fighting with them too) 2 or 3 more times, I’m gonna spoil the manga but if you count anime/movies as of now he has done it twice (Heroes rising and WHM) so presumably next time he does it should be the last time. Also Deku isn’t « stronger » in this movie,at the end of season 5 there’s a 3 months time skip which is were season 6 will pick up, the movie happens during that time which means you can’t tell exactly what % Deku is using since he trains constantly (and he also didn’t any opportunities to go all out in season 5, so you might have forgot but just 20% Deku is already op asf)

@@orima3507 I'm a manga reader so trust me, I know what I'm talking about. SPOILER Since this arc happens during the 3-4 month timeskip, right now Deku has 30% of One For All constantly and 45% in short bursts, and him getting permanent damage is no longer a thing, it is explained later in the story after he bust himself badly again that this time he didn't receive any permanen damage due to his body being stronger this time, it is not the same being able to control 5% of the power and receiving 95% of the backlash than controlling 45% and receiving a 55% backlash, when he received the firt diagnosis the doctor did it with what he had at that time, there was no way the doctor could know Deku was eventually going to control more of that power. The second diagnosis was given by the same doctor even.

It isn’t really canon just because of some callbacks.

If i'm being honest I didn't care too much for the movie, it felt a little too generic. But what I loved about it were the gorgeous scenery shots, creative camera angles, and how badass some of the battles were. And as always I absolutely love the content you make!!!!

A minor opportunity they missed was not having Iida be a part of the team in Japan. Imagine Hawks and Tsukoyomi in the sky while Ingenium running behind them on the ground
