Going off of win 6161; its cannon but in the cover stories that sadly do not get animated often enough that Enel not only reached the moon, but shock of shocks there are automata on it; even more shocking he could breath on the moon; and most shocking of all is that space pirates exist. Thanks to Enels DF he brought the Automata to life and they serve him in his hermitage. With all that said myself and others plug in an "Enel returns" theory into just about any point we can. I mean Lightning vs so many others abilities is simply a fight I want; let alone the sheer fun of the actual banter and interaction. It would be awesome.

I also think its a massive win for you peacing together that guy from being in the movies... this whole time until this vid I thought he was from a filler arc or something because I did not find him rememberable enough to put it together. I do not know which movies but the oldest I saw all the way through was movie 6 really. I think I saw movie 1 all the way through but the Lion guy I just remember him and not anything else. So thanks for clearing that up. G8 is my third fave Filler arc and Warship Island is my 4th. 5th is after the next Nakama joins. 1st and second I think you already would of seen but not sure. Rainbow Mist is #1 and Memory eater is #2... in case of #2 I do not know the official arc name so that is my guess. But I do appreciate that One Piece breaks the mold by having a universally approved must watch filler in G8. I will be quite surprised to find anyone that genuinely hates it. Best character in it is definitely Johnathan (by the way I consider that a Jojo reference, since Dio is voicing it). Next to him is Don Corianno... that joke name never gets old in this arc.

@@kodytiffany5686 well do I have some good news for you my fellow One Piece enjoyer ^_^ As the Memory eater filler arc is most likely called "Ocean's Dream Arc" which has been voted for to be watched (it is the one with the seahorse) And while not the exact same this Ocean's Dream Arc story was based on the One Piece video game called "One Piece: Ocean's Dream!" for the original Playstation :P

Fun fact: the fandom has a saying that embodies some of the elements of this arc: Oda never forgets. There are elements and foreshadowing in this arc that are impacting the series as far as today. Another fun fact, the manga actually has a cover series that tells what happened to Enel after he vanished. Look it up if you get the chance. I will never stop being impressed by this reaction series. It’s a delight to see your first time reaction to this wonderful series.

i love that the shadow thing is real fenomenom in our world, is called Brocken spectre. and happen in the Broken spine mountain when u stand in the top of the mountain your shadow get proyected into the clous and from the mountain base it look like a giant in the sky en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brocken_spectre

The arc-long build up and Luffy finally ringing the bell and knocking out Eneru, it's such an epic moment and carries such weight for so many people. It's up there in my top favorite moments of the series for sure.

That ringing of the bell is so cathartic because the Shandians have spent centuries looking for it and have now fulfilled their long held goal and Luffy smashing Eneru is just as epic as any victory before. Though Robin finding Roger's message is really awesome because it makes them and us feel like we are following in the King of the Pirates' footsteps, getting ever closer to the ultimate prize.

Episode 192 remains my favorite episode of One Piece the sheer epicness of this episode with Luffy jumping into Raigo can't be surpassed as far as I am concerned! Really the whole video covers many of the best parts of the whole series there are lots of great moments ahead but these are still my very favorite!

There are a lot of small details in these episodes that are easy to miss. For example if you look close in 194 you can see some sky wolves sleeping after the party. Add the snake in and basically the whole island people and animal alike were partying for days it must have been wild!

As people say: No one dies in One Piece Much like with Pell Papagyu(?) surviving is a bit of contention mostly cause it's such a strong showing of Enel's power, and his love for his daughter. The difference though is the proper explanation of how he survived compared to Pell who got "oh he just survived somehow" While I love that Conis's dad survived, I can get why some people wouldn't cause again it is a powerful scene

As hyped as I am for Season 2 of the live action. I feel like Season 3 will do justice by Skypeia and deliver this compelling story in a way that even those that dislike the anime arc will appreciate.

In One Piece it takes the act of God to kill a character, but despite that Oda makes even fake deaths tear jerking all the time. I just find it funny that later on people get skeptical when a character is implied to die.

Skypia is considered a bad arc mainly cause the death game felt like it was really dragging, that said there's a lot of arcs in the future that are way better in the future, Long Ring Long Land also is a weaker arc cause there was a lot of filler added but after that is water 7, an arc that raises the bar massively and greatly surpasses everything before it.

As a story in a vacuum, Skypia is friggen wonderful! but when set side-by-side with all the other arcs, it feels a little disconnected. All other arcs are connected by the same oceans and the same characters/governments/powers/histories but Skypia had its' own independent set of people/powers/histories so it's less involved with the greater OP story than the others.

2:11 do not worry, Nami in a bikini top will return eventually :P 22:35 unlike Buggy's manga cover story which got animated, Eneru/Enel also has a cover story that has not been animated but it is about him traveling to the moon I would recommend checking it out in your own time, it is called: "Enel's Great Space Operations" (the One Piece fandom wiki has the whole story) great end of an Arc & Saga now on to one of the best filler arcs ever made :P

Yk, I didn't realise until today that ussop tries to fill in the monster trio's shoes when ever he can,but fails miserable sometimes Spoiler alert from now Which does indeed play a huge role in his feelings of absolute uselessness in water 7, because when compared to the behemoth of luffy Zoro and sanji, he really is weak, and when 1 of them can't something, ussop can't even hope to help many times, it's always be upto them to fight the big bads, so makes sense why ussop thought he was useless

It has everything, it is everything, the amount of times we track around to the lore that surrounds this entirely new world and culture Oda created is outstanding. Luffy using an attack he used on the White Berets to diffuse the Raigo because the gold Enel gave him now acts as a conductor, that can be used against him just as it's been used against Luffy, Wyper's eternal resilience - and everyone being able to survive because Chopper is a good doctor, Gol D. Roger's words beside the bell, the Straw Hats stealing gold from the snake's belly so not to make the locals aren't left lacking, Usopp trading dials for rubber since it's such a foreign substance to them but led to Enel's downfall, peace between Shandians and Skypeians at long last, the shadows reveal, Enel's Endless Vearth being the moon because there's no water there to - before he learned of rubber - pose a weakness to his power, and such a whimsical end as well. Enel was so powerful as well, in an SBS it was revealed he'd have been worth 500 million if he was on the blue sea You have to keep going, the G-8 filler is among the best and Jonathon is a unique brand of antagonist (not villain) for the crew, Stealth Luffy is hilarious, and while the next canon arc was overdone in the anime it still was a lot of fun, and then oh boy then you get a saga that'll make you go wild

people only hate this saga if their anime onlies. the pacing do kinda be bad in the anime. people who have read the manga don't hate it, even if they do prefer other arcs, which tends to be the case, this one is important in ways that only become more and more obvious going forwards

Many people choose to skip Skypiea because of how disconnected it feels from the rest of One Piece, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Not only is Skypiea an amazing arc but its themes can easily be carried over to the larger overarching story. In many ways, the Sky Island is like a smaller-scale version of the One Piece. Considered a legend by those on the Blue Sea, our heroes are laughed at for expressing their belief in its existence. This reflects the similar attitudes pirates of this new era have regarding Gol D. Roger's lost treasure. The Straw Hat Pirates making it to Skypiea is proof that they can make it to Laugh Tale and find the One Piece. The culture of Skypiea is truly one of the most unique I've seen in fiction. Most fictional cultures tend to draw from an obvious real-life equivalent but the people in the sky seem completely original to me and that's really neat. There's also a very significant story about colonialism represented by the conflict between the Skypieans and the Shandia. Thanks to the greed of God Ubau, the Shandia were driven from their homeland because their invaders wanted to take their land for themselves. They overtook indigenous territory and exploited indigenous resources in the form of their vearth. The suffering of the Shandia can be compared to many such real-life incidents. Of course, 400 years pass and God Ubau's ideals are much less common. It makes sense that attitudes are changing and Gan Fall wishes to repair relationships with the Shandia. But then the colonizers become the colonized as Enel's army arrives from Birka and conquers Skypiea. Their cultural form of leadership is stolen as Enel appoints himself the new God of Skypiea, all the high-ranking government officials are replaced with Birkans loyal to their Birkan leader. It's this oppression that better helps the Skypieans resonate with the Shandia when the war is over and done with. There was a cover story in the manga which never got animated where Enel actually makes it to the moon. Amongst misadventures with space pirates and automatons, Enel discovers a mural which reveals that the Skypieans, Shandia, and Birkans all were descended from one people that lived on the moon before abandoning it to settle the planet below. This is a very important addition to the colonization story in my opinion because much like in real life, it shows that there was never anything that made these three races different from each other. Much like all humans were descended from the same Cro-Magnon ancestors, the sky people all came from the moon. Colonization is never justified, it's just humans killing humans at the end of the day. There's always one moment in each saga for me which is absolutely unforgettable. In the East Blue Saga it's the walk to Arlong Park, for Alabasta it's Vivi yelling at the armies below to stop fighting, and for Sky Island? It can't be anything else but Luffy ringing the bell. It's not only a call for Noland long overdue, posthumously clearing his name. It's a victory cry for those who were laughed at for believing in the legend. For the Shandia whom Ubau tried to drive from their homes, for the people in the sky whom Enel tried to erase. The bell sends a clear message to all who hear it. "We are here. No matter how hard you tried to get rid of us, our bell still proudly rings across the sky." (This actually has even more relevance considering recent reveals in the manga but that would be getting into spoilers which haven't even been animated yet so I shall keep my mouth shut.)

I completely forgot to mention it when it happened but when zoro, robin, chopper and luffy were heading south at the beginning of the arc, the bird wasn't screaming at zoro just because he's lost. It's because he's a SOUTHBIRD, he was trying to get him to follow the beak but to no avail😂

I really really hope (but also believe) OP gets chosen to continue once more, bc one of the widely recognised best arcs is just about to start (after one of the better filler arcs) and I would find it very sad if you wouldn't be able to make a video on it! Omg... I used to hate the Eneru Arc, too, but rewatching these bits actually made me realize how freaking good it is. I think it was just because in Germany they re-run that specific Arc way too often, which just kills its message over time. Now, not having seen it in almost 10 years, I could finally appreciate it for all the glorious moments in it. Especially that bell sound. That sound was hitting me so hard, when Luffy smacked Eneru into it.

I have an explaination for why all of Enel's victim's survived, though I don't know how good it is, but here goes: it's becasue they're in the sky. Lightning is the discharge of energy from the clouds going to the ground. The clouds are negatively charged, the ground is positively charged. The air in between acts as a barrier to that charge, and so the negative charge in the clouds has be build up to an insane level before it can go through it. That's why lightning is so powerful. But here, they're in the sky, in the clouds themselves. It would take a lot less energy to release it. That's why Enel's lightning attacks did next to no lasting damage. Does that make any sense at all?

It never got animated, but there is a cover story of what happened with enel after this. gonna just do a small summary here. He gets to the moon, finds a small army of android/robot tiny dudes (like, chopper sized) that were getting attacked by space pirates, Enel defeats the space pirates, and the tiny dudes showed him a wall with paintings showing that apperently the sky people with wings either came from or went to the moon at some point.
