I see Zoro as yes self confident; but easily embarrassed when forced to be more emotional; where as Sanji can be somewhat defined by how much he does not care about people seeing him as emotional. So him being embarrassed being caught acting as a nanny made sense to me.

I find it hilarious that "Mama" or whatever her name is functions as a character model Oda later reuses and modifies for a cannon character. This is a way I can say it without spoiling who they actually are... the cannon character knows Ace. So when the time comes you should know who I am talking about evasively.

A salute to Kazuki Yao retiring as the voice of Franky, 🫡. From episode 233 to 1111, that's almost 20 years, plus there's his time as Jango and Mr 2 adding up to almost 25 in just One Piece. Legendary really. You don't have to worry about it for a long time Wins but it's still sad...

We witnessed Haki in use for the first time when Shanks glared down that Sea King to Luffy waaaay back at the start. Granted, this is the first time it’s outright STATED.

Personally, I think Zoro would absolutely care. Maybe not enough to run away, but multiple times throughout the canon he seems to hate getting embarrassed, and for being such a cool guy he can be quite petty or edgy at times. It’s something I like about him

Worth noting that Shanks didn't seem like he was an important headlining Pirate during Luffy's flashback, or the bandits would have probably acted very differently upon seeing him. I'm curious how quickly he became a Yonko and what he did to get there.

Also Spoilers . . . . . . . . . . IIRC, even though he wasn't a yonko at the time, he was still a notorious pirate with a bounty of 1 billion berries. The bandits didn't know about him for the same reason Luffy didn't know who his father was, even after hearing his name, or how most of the strawhats didn't know who most of the yonko were; information doesn't spread very well in the OP world. There is really only one source of information that gets spread globally, and it requires a conscious effort to read the newspaper in its entirety every time to stay informed... I don't see the mountain bandits doing that...

Not having watched the show this far, i usually read it, some of the filler is damn good. I think i’ve said it before, but its worth repeating, this is just your favorite arc so far. The next one is goofy to a crazy degree but has the best Zoro moment, rivaling Sanjis “thanks for the light” from Eneru. Robin get to be hilarious, Franky does crazy things, and the LORE!!! JUICY JUICY LORE!!! Stuff that will make your brain explode!

Someone I follow who is doing a read-through of One Piece said that Oda is excellent at something that not a lot of writers can do, which is pit two characters against each other, in this case, Whitebeard and Shanks, and have both characters come out looking better than before the confrontation.

A lot of people say that oda is good at foreshadowing and build-up . Well, because he is but something that oda is better at is retconing. For example, Shanks was never planned to be in Roger's crew, but he was redcond so he w, s in roger crew

@j.c.cannon2112 his past was mentioned ( in buggy back story ) and a lot of stuff like the crew not knowing what davil fruits are. Buggy and Shanks look like children in oden beack story, but in buggy back story ( which is before oden backstory, ) they like older .
