It’s refreshing to see an artist who values the process as much as the final product! 🙂 Keep inspiring us with your amazing work, Jono! 🙂

Purchasing an original piece was still the best purchase of my life. A pure picture to remind me every day that I made it through hard times and am still here

JD: I know you have a 'brand' / signature of sorts. That is part of what makes your art recognizable, after all. With that said, I foresee a wide range of layout choices available to you. So, by way of example (with the exception of "The Gardener" and some close-up eye drawings), you could play a little more with depth of field (fuzzy foregrounds / backgrounds). Many of your drawings are solidly balanced - you could play with imbalance / lopsided / unstable compositions. Although smoke, ink, and water have inherent translucence, you could experiment with 'double-exposure' or layered compositions as a means of expressing psychological dimensions of choice and conflict. Note, these are not criticism in any way shape nor form. I'm just encouraging you to use your love of photography to do more than "center-of-page, in-focus, balanced, and opaque." Your art is so realistic, having a portion intentionally left undone (e.g., President Washington's portrait) would snap the viewer into the realization that this is, indeed a drawing and not a photoshopped photograph. Lastly, perspective. With the exception of the eye-pieces, many of your works don't include a whole lot of perspective / distortion, etc. That i something you could toy with a little. In short, I think there are many optical, photographic, compositional, layout, etc. that you could play with.

How do you create so much graphite powder for your work? In previous videos, I know you said you make your own, but what do you create it from?
