Oh, Hon. Couture level suits. AKA - the whole reason I got into this in the first place. I'll make my own couture level Chanel suit and Bar jacket and whatever else strikes me fancy. THIS... this is why I fell so hard down the sewing rabbit hole (well, that and there was this pandemic thing going on). I want the skill set of my maternal Great Granny who could self-draft anything she saw in the morning paper and tat lace. If I'm going to spend the time, money and energy on a sewing project it's gonna darn well be as pretty as I can make it. I'm in the process of implementing a lot of these steps for my personal sewing. I find its not only great for organization, but as someone with ADHD, they just make sense. Once I got my brain to to accept the "Good Enough", it made everything else so much easier, and my skills ahve grown a lot as a result. I especially like the mental separation of tasks, patterning one day, then drafting, etc. Still working on the organization part, but thats part of my chaos ADHD journey. The thing I want to master this year is collars. I love collared blouses, but I definitley struggle with the construction aspect of them.

This is specifically in the context of sewing but as someone with a million hobbies this is really practical applicable advice. Thank you so much for a very well crafted video! I hope to start sewing pieces for my wardrobe this year and your tips will be so helpful for keeping things enjoyable and positive. The "one day" make videos are often done by people who know how to sew, and who know how to sew for their body. There is all the time and energy they had to put in beforehand. Sometimes life happens and you don't have the time you think you do, or an event comes up out of nowhere. So knowing tips and tricks to get the job is helpful to have, but that should be a BIG exception, and a choice that is made. Not the norm.

I'm about 4 weeks out from now and so far ... nothing. nothing at all. I have figured out that i need to lower my pillow by a lot, and I'm really trying to take a solid long walk every day. I haven't been able to entirely get into a pilates routine like I need to, but I'm going to. So. So far? This is good.
