You've been so busy! All of these pieces are so fun. And I appreciate how gentle you are with personal criticisms. I don't love everything I've ever made, and I sometimes have trouble articulating that. P.S. Shame on Shein for ripping off your pattern. They're just the worst. Wish there was a class action lawsuit for all of the artists they've ripped off.

hello 🥹🥹 i wish there was one as well - i genuinely don’t understand how they can just get away with it especially after being called out on it by more than dozens of artists. also, even though there are pieces we don’t like and pieces that we won’t in the future- just creating them gives us more skill to make even better designs later on :,) so that’s a good thing to keep it mind

I'm so hooked on your videos. I'm from Sweden with long and strong knitting- and crochet culture. I'm always told how everything is supposed to be made. I can't even tell my mom what I'm planning to make without being cross-examed on every tecnique, yarn, pattern I'm planning to use. I hope you realise how liberating it is to watch you making your freaking gorgeus clothing based on gut instinct and curiosity rather than math and rules.

🤝🤝 That's why i don't tell my family what i'm making and usually when they see the finished piece, they find it beautiful. As long as i don't tell them how i made it lol

A tip for the feel of yarn, before making your sweater or shirt, grab the raw skein of yarn and hold it on your neck. If it’s comfortable then you’re a okay to use it. If it’s not, then you’re going to spend a lot of time on something you’re not gonna wear :) (little tip my mom learned in Norway when she learned to knit)

also tip for the fuzzy yarn thing, get a fabric shaver! its a little shaver that glides over clothing and gently takes off that lint

stupid question but could that eventually thin out the yarn after a while?
@seiashun
@seiashun Жыл бұрын
@@sophiebraun1650 The fibers rubbing together into those lint balls does thin out the fabric slowly, but shaving it off doesn't, since you're just getting rid of the lint balls and it doesn't shave off any of the intact fibers!

I have a tip for strengthening the straps of your bags that I do a lot, especially with the granny square tote bags! If you slip stitch around the straps and edge of the bag, it helps keep everything in place and keeps the straps from stretching too much. I started doing this because the first bag I had made for myself stretched way too much and felt super unstable. Hope this helps!!

Omg, you inspire me so much I cannot believe all the things you made, beautiful. I learned a long time ago, that if you soak hard yarn from Walmart in fabric softener for like a day, then just wash it with your regular clothes, it makes the yarn so nice and soft. Try it for your jacket. Did it the other day for a snood I made.

I actually got into your videos because i am into movies and stuff, and somehow it led me to your tutorials for crochet and knit stuff from movies and tv shows. The fact that you make your own patterns as well and see stuff in movies that you can just recreate is mind-blowing to me. Ive been dabbling in crochet since i was a kid but i am faaar from as advanced in my crocheting as you. I used to love winx club and if you were planning on making the rest of the winx girls´outfits that would be so amazing! you have inspired me to try to make it myself though, but in case i fail, i would love to see a video on that

I love your videos! They're so honest and I find it super charming that you record everything from the mistakes to the triumphs. They are huge motivators and remind us that crafting is all trial and error, but when it hits, it's AMAZING! I'm sorry one of your patterns was stolen, though. It's so shameful how they turn a darling creation into a cheap knockoff.

16:34 I know this is old, but for the pilling on the yarn (the fluffy appearance) you can get a fabric shaver to remove the fuzzies! Just be sure to do it on a hard flat surface so you don’t catch the yarn strands in the rotating blade! It’s super helpful for reviving all types of clothing with pilling or fluffing fiber!

Impressed with all the stuff you have made! So many beautiful pieces. If you want you can un-do some of the white/leafy legwarmers to make the matching skirt to the bralette. Because I guess you don't use all of the legwarmers and they just lay around taking space. And the bralette is so cute and it would be even cuter if you had a matching set!

I like your energy and your intro - so true! I enjoyed wrinkling my nose at some of the items and then going, "dang! That looks spectacular!" once you modeled them. I love being proved wrong - it opens my mind. When we stop learning, we're done on Earth, so your video perpetuated my life - thank you for that, lol. ❤ I'm going to say you're an autumn. I am as well. The muted, forest, and olive greens; mustards and rusts; rich browns . . .. I'm planning a mustardy yellow, rich rust orange, and chocolate brown raglan sweater soooooon! I'm thinking three solid stripes for the body and Maybe the arms, or the arms will be the mustardy yellow and rich rust orange. Little Knits is a Great resource for fancy yarns at good discounts, if you want to branch out. Hobbii for cotton, hands down. They have sales All the time. They also have a marvelous cotton bamboo yarn, but it takes a 3 - 4 mm hook for crochet. You might prefer that one for knit since it looks like you gravitate towards a 5.00 hook for crochet. Thought I'd mention those! Take care and stay positive - we need more of you in the world.

To stop the handles of bags from stretching or undoing I suggest you try lining (with non-stretch fabric) the handles and connecting it to the lining of the bag itself so that all the weight of whatever item is in the bag will on the fabric and the crochet doesn't stretch or experience much pressure.
