How much time do you make up grafting vs letting them grow out with their own roots? I am growing the yellow from seed now.

I like to grow true to see or de graft them when I get a nice sized cutting. I've had some grafts grow like mad and others very slowly

Have you tried a heating pad with the root hormone. I just got a sugar dragon cutting I'm hoping in 2 weeks they'll be roots but it's just in soil with hormone. I'm excited to see how it did

I use a heating pad and grow light in the winter in my climate, zone 9b. It works well for me.

Your plants don't look healthy!!! When doing the grafts you need to leave the plants alone until the sap dries out you never ever plant the cutting until the sap is not there because that is the first cause of rotting. Plant your cuttings in a mix of 50-50 sand and soil . You are so proud of your yellow dragon fruit plants when they shouldn't be yellow in the first place...
