Everything Right and Wrong With Kirby and the Forgotten Land ft.

A year ago, we were blessed with the first 3D Kirby game ever, and it was very well received. It may have taken a very long time to get a 3D Kirby game, but what matters is that we got one eventually. Unfortunately, it seems that, in an ironic twist of fate, this game has been forgotten by the fanbase. So let’s give them a reminder.

I'm surprised how you didn't put Clawroline's design in a sin. THAT, is the EPITOME of fanservice and HAL Laboratory and Nintendo knew that when they were making this game. Also, I know this is just a pop culture reference, but I cannot of the fact, and many people said that too, Redgar Forbidden Lands is straight up Crisis City from Sonic '06! Regardless of those, nice video.

I'll say this right now FORGOTTEN LAND IS MY FAVORITE GAME EVER MADE I love nearly everything about this game I was so happy I got this game and played through it the environment is beautiful, the music is earcandy, the bosses are great fun with the final boss being my favorite ever made, and Elfilin is so adorable this was a blast to play and I enjoyed this video for the first ever kirby game I've played it was so worth it.

A great video. I also have a question. If Elflin was seprated by Kirby in the final battle from Fecto Elfilin, how did it still keep its true form? Wouldn't it turn back into Fecto Forgo again?

Honestly for me the gotcha capsules weren’t that bad. The animation for getting them is cute, the important ones have lore and running out of money wasn’t even a possibility no matter how much I spent.

I'll show my honest hype for Forgotten Land: It's probably the most promising Kirby game out of all of them. The game gives you hundreds of options for how you want to play it. Pro players of these games can enjoy some nice challenge when they get to the post-game stuff, and beginner level players(which exist, the chance is not 0.) can make the game more comfortable for themselves with the stuff they unlock at Waddle Dee Town if they wish, so everybody wins. Hopefully the next Kirby games keep all of those features this game has, because it's leaps forward in every way. Also, I want to clarify: this is only hype stuff. I didn't actually play the game because I don't have the financial conditions to buy a Switch nor a copy of the game. Especially this month, since I'm back to having paid bus rides which are ultra expensive. I'm actually planning on making Kirby videos on my own channel. I bet everyone is gonna laugh their tongues out when they see me playing Kirby. Well, everyone that's Brazilian, at least. As for YOUR video, it's pretty nice, although the Mouthful Mode "puns" can get super forced at some points. The Big Rig Kirby one was pretty funny, though. Also, there are some wins I wish you guys elaborated more, but I know that's not your style, so, yeah. I'm gonna avoid treating that like it killed my mother because it would never do enough damage to her. That's all I have to say. Cya.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is one of my favorite games of 2022 along with Sonic Frontiers and Pokémon Violet of course. For Kirby’s first 3D game, it was done greatly and I looking forward to the future of the Kirby franchise. Plus Meta Knight’s theme is a new addition to my top favorite video game songs. Fitting for my favorite Kirby character.

@@tonysonic456 now that you bring it up frontiers and forgotten land have a lot of similarities they are both games that came after a controversial entry in the franchise (sonic forces, kirby star allies) both have the main characters in new territory in gameplay (sonic open world) (kirby in 3d) and both make you explore a previously habited place those are just thoughts that i had in my head

Did you Know? The language seen throughout the game has an actual translation? Yeah look it up and there are letters and numbers to translate. I always like to spend time finding words and spending minutes trying to translate it. It’s really fun

Off topic but I see In the live chat, you mentioned "kirby getting voice acting before pokemon" and I want to clear that up because it's actually not simple Pokemon black and white version 2 have several instances where dialogue is actually spoken, like during Roxie's (poison/2nd gym) band, the stage reveal for elysa (electric/4th theme) and ghetsis battle. But the thing is they're all part of songs, so would that be voice acting, or songs with lyrics? That doesn't solve it 100% either because as you beat some of the trainers in roxie's, the music starts dying down, but shes still spelling pokemon as if she's singing. So does that still count as "singing" or, because there's no music, is it just speaking? All this to say...yeah, I'd say Kirby did it before pokemon, but you could argue the opposite with black2/white2

Awesome video! I played both 3DS Kirby Games (Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot) and all three Switch games (Star Allies, Forgotten Land, and Return To DreamLand Plus Magolor's Epilogue) and enjoyed them all! Also, you may or may not be happy, but Fecto Elfilis looks more like Infinite than Shadow.

Amazing video. I love forgotten land. When I played this, RTDLD, and star allies back to back. I did this one last and I had even more fun on my recent play through that I did last time. I kinda raged at chaos Elfilis at first but then I managed to beat it. Took me a few attempts. Aside from chaos Elfilis, I don’t find ultimate cup Z that hard. I feel like soul melter ex and RTDLD true arena is harder. Also I 100% agree with that giant sword. It was very slow and I sadly used it for the meta knight fight. Struggled at first but thankfully I got meta knights sword and everything else went fun for me.

This game probably has one of the most insane yet best finales to any game I have ever played. So when I first played this game I was missing some waddle dees and wanted to go back since i thought there was one more world after Forgo Dedede. So anyway after the infamous elevator scene, I decided to do it later. And i am glad I did because when I first played this i was blown away at what the fuck was even going on. First you take down Leon who is sudden but ok you take him down and then OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUUCK IS THAT THING?! And then you fight a discount william birkin, get to the roof have a pretty solid final boss. And then mouthful mode a truck, and run into Fecto Elfilis. Oh and then it gets better later. God what is with these games and having absolutely insane finales? This is just as wild as Planet Robobot’s. And this game also takes a Triple Deluxe approach of story telling. Have a simple goal at the start, and get thrown all the lore with new villains at the end. Planet Robobot approached it differently and im my opinion better. (Though the whiplash is why these endings are so good) You get a simple goal, and then after a while you get teased with a bit more story development. And foreshadowing the ending later (Mother Computer being mentioned early on for example) I do wish this game teased some story throughout, but honestly it’s great either way

Tbh I’m surprised either of you guys mention how co-op works on this game. The camera only follows Kirby and if Bandanna Waddle Dee is to far away from Kirby it pulls him towards Kirby and it can happen during boss fights. But overall the game was extremely fun to play.

Honestly I haven't played this game but i am excited to play it considering that i had a Great time with Kirby triple deluxe and planet Robobot. (Also i did 100 both of them and honestly planet Robobot was easier but more enjoyable than triple deluxe.

Fun Fact: This game has the same number of figurines as the keychains in Triple Deluxe. Also it was worse in Triple Deluxe because there was no Gacha Machine. You had to play levels over and over again to get all 256 keychains. Here while it is annoying, is nowhere as bad. And also the figurines are basically the lore pause screens which gives a lot more detail about things even other then bosses
