Everything Right and Wrong With Pikmin 3 Deluxe

For many years, Pikmin 3 was considered the final entry in the trilogy, especially considering how much time Pikmin 4 was taking to cook. In fact, it took so long that the third game was ported to Switch with some added content. That’s the version I played, and do I think it’s as good as a lot of fans say it is? Let’s find out.

Haven't played it in a few years. I still have my original Wii U copy but due to my gamepad refusing to wake up even when charging, I'll have to get the Deluxe version on Switch. But from all I've played of Pikmin 3, I like it.

The Purple Pikmin nerf reminds me of the Gale Wings nerf in Gen 7, where Game Freak took Talonflame and nerfed it way too much. They made it so that Gale Wings only works when Talonflame has full health. This nerf is so severe that it took Talonflame from one of the most powerful Pokemon in competitive battles to being in the lower tiers. I understand they needed to nerf Gale Wings, because it was admittedly overpowered, but making it so that it just doesn't work if Talonflame takes even one hit point of damage is too much.

what i find hilarious is that, apparently, the main reason louie ran off like that and stole the juice was because he thought he was kidnapped sure the protagonists saved him from the bee monster, but louie was UNCONSCIOUS during that entire battle, so by the time he woke up, he was in a completely different area altogether. it's not hard to see why he'd think he was kidnapped in all honesty, even if he was still a dick and stole all your juice lol

One of my favorite things about this game is the bosses. They feel so epic and have this grand spectacle to them which is why I was disappointed when pikmin 4 went back to how the bosses were in 1 and 2. The bosses aren’t bad or anything but they don’t feel nearly as cool as the ones in 3

As someone whos played every pikmin game released, ill admit, i love this series, i was first introduced to the series thanks to luigis mansion, i got the wii release of the second game, played the third game on the wii u, then played the first both gamecube and wii, and then played hey! Pikmin which i do honestly kinda like, to the point where i was happy they brought back the concept of sparklium for 4, and heck im currently replaying the 2nd game with gamecube controls, i love this series, been loving it since i was 3, and im currently 19 Edit: forgot to mention i also played 3 deluxe.

You know after just playing Pikmin 3 after the first 2 on switch. I start to feel bad for Olimar. Your average salary man with a family has a job as an intergalactic cargo dealer, one day crashes on a planet and almost dies trying to escape. Gets home safely, is immediately sent back to the planet he almost died on, oh and he loses his ship he worked so hard on to rebuild, AND he never gets to say hi to his family that he fought so hard to see again. Oh and also in some of the emails in pikmin 2 his wife finds his secret stash of pokos and goes on a shopping spree and uses olimar’s hard earned checks on herself and to give the kids a bigger allowance without Olimar’s permission, and then eventually becoming an abusive mother who’s mind was temporarily changed from the power of money. Then in Pikmin 3 the whole Plasm Wraith thing happened, and even after all of that he still continues to work for Hocotate Freight because according to the president “Not many employees are left”, a-and also because Olimar needs money.

Its worth noting that you can do oak in one day (even quite easily) if you know the path through from the start. Even the final boss on the same day too

@@tonysonic456 imo its not too hard. I can pull it off on normal and hard, as well as the wii u version with a bit of finesse. For the first area, just build the bridge and then kill the arachnorb, then in the cave section, build the bridge, light 3 bulbs, and run to the exit

I absolutely adore this game and I think it is absolutely the best game in the series. The game is beautiful, The music is amazing, the Story is short and sweet like the first game which makes it easy and fun to replay and there’s a ton of other content outside of the main story. I keep hearing people say pikmin 4 is the best game of the series, but I disagree with that. Pikmin 4 is great but 3 is on a whole other level for me

I think this game was best suited for the Wii U, thanks to the gamepad, but I’m still glad we got a port for the switch.

Great video. Personal opinion though, I think the President in this game is kind of a jerk. He's the reason that Olimar and Louie went back to PNK-104 (if that's what it was called) a 3rd time and immediately sends them back again after they just got saved by Alph, Brittany and Charlie, and were probably in no condition to make a 4th trip. Sure, they left one of the company's ships, but is their condition not important to the president? At least let them recuperate before sending them back and/or send a different team to get the parts back (assuming he has/had other employees and/or didn't let them go due to budget cuts to pay the debt). I don't know why Olimar puts up with his boss if he gets treated like this and his boss doesn't give a crap about his safety.

Well Pikmin 3 is definitely one of the best in the series many say Pikmin 2 is the best and seeing the issues kinda confused me why though As for the final boss many people say it's bad because of the execution of the fight and how it was played out but it's mixed by a lot of people Can't wait to see your thoughts on Hey! 3:55 Not just debatedly. They ARE the weakest Pikmin. The average Pikmin attack does 10 damage, with Reds doing 15 and Purples doing 20. Wings always, no matter the enemy, do 5 damage per attack. The only other Pikmin like this is apparently the Whites.
