We are Austin & Sarah.
The two of us grew up as city kids and after we got married realized we dreamed of living a simpler and more self-sufficient life in the country. We packed our bags and bought our little piece of heaven in the beginning of 2021. This channel exists to document our journey of learning how to live a more self-sufficient life.

Nice Video, you two accomplished a lot this year! That shed is so cool. You are getting good at carpentry, great work! It's funny that you said you're going to focus on growing food more than anything next year. I was saying that myself for a month, and now we have plans for like five more building projects 😆I know I've said this a lot, but I am a big fan of your coop/run. It seems so secure, roomy, and organized. Make sure to enjoy the winter down time, the craziness will be starting before you know it!

Yes next year is definitely abundance focused and trying to grow as much as we can. You guys are set up really nice with all those greenhouses! The downtime is nice but already looking forward to the spring😂

Did you end up growing corn? I remember in one of the planning videos you had space allotted for corn.

Ha well we are 0/2 in our attempts to grow corn 😂 The first year we unknowingly grew a decorative corn only, this year it got about waist high and stopped growing. We will try again next year and hope for the best 🤞
