Only after all that was the pregnant version of Midge sold. But parents don’t always keep up on what the story lines are with these dolls, so parents just knew that Barbie is supposed to be an older teen. To them Midge was “a Barbie”, so she must also be a teen. They really should have put on the packaging that Midge was Barbie’s neighbor or something like that, the same way Skipper and Stacie dolls said they were Barbie’s little sisters. Anything to show that Midge is an adult, not one of Barbie’s peers.

One thing tho, Barbie saying "I'm not pretty anymore" as her first line from her existential crisis is completely valid. I'm pretty sure other people can relate as well but just from that one line, I completely understood exactly how she was feeling. As a character that's most commonly known for that "picture perfect BARBIE doll appearance," there's now this expectation that's created that not just other people but Barbie has of herself, which eventually becomes a measure that determines and validates her worth and value. The line isn't meant to be taken literally, but as a way to express how Barbie feels. Her mind's probably all jumbled with a blur of different emotions that she feels so overwhelmed that it's numbing. There's so much going on in her head but she can't formulate any words or doesn't even know what to say that can even closely describe the true gravity of her current state. Therefore, the only thing she can think of to say is "I'm not pretty anymore," which can also implicate or be interpreted as a way of Barbie confessing that she doesn't feel good enough and doesn't understand or see her own value.

Like a string of Barbie themed skits they loosely strung together to turn into a movie. The plot starts out being about Barbie going to the real world to find the girl corrupting her. Then it suddenly is about Ken finding out about the Patriarchy and bringing it to Barbieland. Then it becomes Barbie liberating the other Barbies and tricking the Kens. Then it's about Barbie having an existential crisis and debating on being human or not. It's just a lot. There's some fun scenes and it did get genuine laughs from me but it's definitely not the movie I thought it'd be. Okay but Midge was legit terrifying and VERY problematic. Her stomach REMOVED, the baby popped out and you FLIPPED THE BELLY over to make her "not pregnant"😳😳😳😳

I wonder if that means Midge-Barbie could've just not been pregnant whenever. Just pop the baby out and have her constantly mothering a newborn.... okay I guess that's hardly any less creepy.

Actually pregnant barbie can give birth via C-section i had her as a kid. The baby is inside a dome against the belly. You jus take the dome off. Which makes the film slightly dark

At 7:04 when you questioned why they were being printed again-it happens every time you get arrested. Yes, even if it’s the same day. This might vary by state or province but it’s the norm in most police stations. This sin was given in error.
