It's been argued that the true tragedy isn't so much Vesper's death, but that her betrayal has left Bond alone in the world, realising that he can't trust anyone. The look on his face when he fails to revive her is that of a broken, beaten man - both he, and her, realised that when you are as deeply involved in this world as they have been, you can't just "leave with whatever (you) have left." She actually spared Bond's life four times - when killing Obanno, when connecting the defibrillator, when making the deal with Quantum and when committing suicide (White, in Quantum Of Solace: "If she hadn't killed herself we would have had you too"). She was as much a pawn in Quantum's schemes as Bond was. That was the brilliance of the picture - Vesper and Bond were more alike than either wanted to admit!

Fun fact which you probably already know about the car flip: it wasn't supposed to flip that much. They tried to use a ramp to flip it but because it wasp aerodynamic they couldn't get it to flip. So they put an air cannon in the back to help out. It still holds the record for number of flips of a stunt car in a film I believe.

I would take sins off for the car roll stunt. In order to accomplish this, the props department had to place an air cannon in the undercarriage of the car because the Ashton was so aerodynamic and gripped it would not flip. By the completion of the stunts execution, a world record had been established for the number of flips.
