I don't know if it's been pointed out yet, but that specific sound from the game that Young Neil is playing plays whenever you solve a puzzle in The Legend of Zelda. It puts you in a cutscene to show off what you unlocked, so it's totally safe not to look at the screen at that point. Young Neil is just doing a good job at using proper social etiquette by making eye contact when speaking to someone else. What a wonderful guy.

If Jeremy read the source material (ha), he would know why Envy is so vindictive. Scott is doing what many people many do. He's choosing to forget all the shitty things he did in his relationship and only remembering what the other party did. When Envy began rising in popularity he got upset that she was seeing more spotlight instead of choosing to stay as an indie sort of band. Their fight ended with her telling him to get a haircut, and the dumbass actually does and shows up to her party without actually apologizing or making up, gets super wasted, and then starts another fight with her. Thinking that it would somehow fix their relationship. He wasn't supportive of her at all. Their relationship ended with no closure, which is why she is trying to one up (haha) him by flaunting her relationship with Todd. Half the sins could be dropped if Jeremy realized Scott is not supposed to be a good person. Like. At all. He's a pretty horrible human being, leeching off his best friend and even his parents.
@maximeteppe76274 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I just wish B1rdman wasn't tiptoing around the underage thing so much. It might be technically legal, but regardless, the movie is very clear that he is wrong to be involved with her. Zenith Tempest True, in fact, the one thing you could say this movie did wrong was Scott unlocking “the power of self respect”, in the source material, he unlocks “the power of understanding” because even he realizes that he’s just as bad a Gideon, he remembers things differently and sees things in his own different point of view because he see’s himself as the hero, but in reality, he was being a dick
@ApexGale4 жыл бұрын
@@cooldude2027 There's also the fact that he ended up with Knives in the original cut before they changed it, which was just silly Knives is pretty much everything Scott isn't. A good person, cares a lot about her family, no baggage attached to her. The reason why Scott and Ramona end up together in the books is because they are both relationship trainwrecks. Scott embellishes his old relationships and leaves out his own faults in them. Ramona just used her old exes and then abandoned them when they weren't of any use to her anymore. In the case of Gideon though, that was a relationship that she was actually partly serious about, which is why he ends up "controlling" a part of her in the books. Though as she puts it, the other parts of her (the parts he didn't like, or want to accept as part of his "idealized" Ramona) are finished with him. The whole point is that by the end they're both trying to learn and improve for each other's sakes. But this movie can't portray that very well at all because Ramona doesn't get nearly as much time in the spotlight in the movies compared to the books.

Are you just saying the words may have slightly different connotations? Because they do largely describe the same trait. It's like rage and fury, though maybe not exactly the same, they do count as broadly synonymous - the envy/jealous situation is akin to a character name Rage saying they're furious. While I prefer the books since I think they do both Scott and Ramona better as characters, I’ll still always hold this movie in my heart. Thanks for a great debunking Birdman! “You’ll always be my Clash at Demonhead. (Whatever that means)”

6:38 scot pilgrim talk place in Canada and northern parts or Canada are Marjory white or part indigenous. In my home town I could count the number of black people in town one one hand.

What this movie deserves praise for is that it continues to homage the comic and lift lines of dialogue wholesale even after it deviates from the story.

I wish I could subscribe to you as many times as you gave this video sins for referencing a very underrated album. What a legend.

Well, fuck me. You found a way to counter Jeremy, even though he did give this movie more praise than sins. I really thought this was gonna be a small video. I gotta give you respect for stepping up to the challenge. O7

Also that game noise at 1:35 (because Jeremy doesn’t know shyt about video games, or much apparently) that was the noise in Zelda games when you’ve unlocked something secret or opened up a passage way.....considering that noise played RIGHT after Scott mentioned that knives was Chinese followed by dude saying “wicked”......yeah that was supposed to be a joke lol

Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was nerd culture at the brink of before it was cool to be a nerd and satire at its best.

I wish I could like this more than once, just for "that's typically how I win all my fights" And again for showing the "he's just left" scene at the end.
