There's a biological imperative, too. Evolution made men hunters, strengthening the need to run and throw spears. Women worked with items in a much closer proximity to their bodies, weaving, breastfeeding, etc, thereby negating the precision needed for more deadly tasks. But if bigoted men have their way, a million years from now women will be born wearing heels.

To be fair (and I can't believe I'm offering a slight defense of cinamasins on this) that is kind of the problem. Writers know that most people can relate to being clumsy so they see it a quick easy way to get audiences to identify with the character. Now in defense of the movie, Barbara is shown to have more personality than just being clumsy (as opposed to say Bella where that's her only definable trait) but the character was always going to be hard to pull off given how many superhero movies covered the "awkward mistreated nerd who becomes the villain" plotline and unfortunately blaming her transformation on "it's the magic stone that's making you like this!" just isn't as compelling as say Syndrome in Incredibles (shunned by the superhero he grew up adoring) or Catwoman in Batman Returns (literally murdered and now wants vengeance).

His “sin” about shooting the engine makes no sense… Those men are trained soldiers and they’re attempting to stop the pursuers, not murder them. Any trained operative would actually aim for the engine and wheels to disable the vehicle… it isn’t until they proved to be a real threat that they switched modes from disable to lethal force. Just shows that Jeremy doesn’t know what he’s talking about most of the time. He wants movies to be shitty, he complains about realistic or normal things, ignores absurd or wrong things and makes sins that have nothing to do with the story or characters! In one video he literally sinned the way that a guy reloaded a gun saying it was “Hollywood bullshit” when it’s a normal and very realistic way of reloading! (I’m referring to the “magpul flick” which is when you click the mag release on an AR while twisting the gun in a flick motion to fling the magazine off to the side. It serves multiple purposes, the main one being not dropping a tripping hazard directly in front of your feet in the path the group is walking. It’s a very common technique, but Jeremy is a dummy who can’t take 5 seconds to google something to see if it’s real or fake.) Another time he sinned a shotgun not throwing someone across a room like a cartoon! He actually thinks a shotgun in real life has enough gumption to chuck a grown man! He’s obviously never heard of the conservation of energy… Yeah, I’m a firearms instructor so I get extra bothered by that kinda stuff, but most of them are so basic and easy to figure out. The shotgun thing is just common sense, but the reload is as simple as look at a video of an actual soldier using an actual gun… or google how to quick reload a rifle. Simple stuff for someone claiming to fact check and call out the mistakes of others.

Hell, not every trained soldier *wants* to just immediately *kill* people, either.
@DanteYewToob
@DanteYewToob 3 жыл бұрын
@@InfernosReaper That’s what I’m saying… any trained security, soldier or royal guard of any kind wouldn’t just immediately start murdering people. Shooting the engine block to disable the vehicle is normal and standard operating procedure worldwide to avoid needless death. Being trained to shoot doesn’t train you for the trauma of taking a life. After Vietnam they switched to burst fire and semi automatic weapons because soldiers would purposefully shoot over the enemy or shoot in the sky.. no one wanted to be the guy to kill someone. Every soldier was hoping and assuming someone else had the “enemy” in their sights.. so ammo was going at an astonishing rate when it’s being fired at nothing in full auto.. not to mention suppressing fire and panic fire due to fear in the jungle… everyone just wanted to scare the enemy away. But Jeremy doesn’t care about that. He thinks soldiers just massacre everyone they see apparently…

If memory serves. She doesn't fly until Justice League for some reason. She doesn't even fly on her own in this movie, she flies when she's wearing the battle armor. that HAS wings. Apparently, almost a century after learning she's a demi-god with powers and she's still figuring out what they are and how they work. But then, how would she go about figuring out what their powers are? The best I can think of, in my sleep deprived mind, is what they did in Shazam. Try what you can think of and then trial and error.
@grandempressvicky6387
@grandempressvicky6387 3 жыл бұрын
@@bachjay88 Actually no. She doesn't fly in Justice League, nor is it treated like she can. She learns to fly AFTER she renounced her wish. She doesn't need that armour to fly so I don't know why she went back to get it. This movie also introduced how she can ride lightning bolts so she doesn't even have to fly with the suit, jet, or her own powers. Zack Snyder explicitly said his version of Wonder Woman cannot fly. And I wouldn't call it trial and error in any way similar to Shazam, when we are never shown her practising any of the abilities she has in this film (turning things invisible, flight) or even wondering if she can do them. She just does what she wants when the plot says she can.

Which would make some sense, as that very specific trope could get tiring, and it's possible for two characters to have different powers and still be evenly matched. But he just sinned a fight between a demigod and a catlady for being "same vs. same"... because they were both fighting hand-to-hand. I need to learn to stop giving Jeremy the benefit of the doubt.

everything wrong with everything wrong with wonder woman shoulda given them more sins for calling her a Karen at least 50 Edit: as I'm watching further into this, can I just say I hate CinemaSins' wokeness? It's clear to anyone with a pair of eyes, that it's not genuine and that they're just trying to capture the most viewers that they can and since a lot of their viewers tend to be younger generally under 20, I would guess, from my own experiences I'd guess that to be about average, a demographic who coincidentally also tends to be more left leaning, and in support of things such has feminism and opposition to racism, and they know that, and are trying to play to it for more views, in the same way back when the anti sjw era of the mid 2010s was a thing, they literally had a running gag of "scene does not contain lap dance" I'm convinced if they believe in anything at all it's clearly money/clout honestly Also yes I agree it is people like Jeremy who ruin shit, what he's doing is a grift, people who unironically believe and agree with him, probably do exist, every corner of existence does have its fringe people, but most people would say he's being way too extreme, sadly it's people like Jeremy who get the spotlight and attention, not the people who ironically enough genuinely believe what they say, while also being much more mild in their statements

8:33 As a woman, I agree with everything birdman says here. I don't know why people think not having a love interest makes a female superhero strong. Literally every main male MCU character has a love interest except Falcon and sort of Bucky. So why do people think love is weak. Besides that, the reason why so many movies and shows with female character have romance is because that's what women generally like. Obviously not everyone, but most women are more interested in romance than men are. That's why most movies targeted towards women have lots of romance. On another note, name more than one main male character in the MCU who hasn't been shown shirtless. I can only think of Falcon; he really is the least romanticized character in the MCU I guess

Yeah, most of Jeremy's "actual sins" is just him thinking aloud and not really anything that's wrong with the movie.
