Yeah. I guess that's why so many of these "sins" suck. The villain is able to make murdoch sleep in the standoff situation because he willingly gives up, duh. The cars don't crash when the drivers fall asleep because they are machines and they stop the machines; people fall of stools because stools aren't machines. In the barber shop they do change the barber's memories too, but you do not see it because movies never show every detail as that would make pointless, time-wasting complexity. The aliens think humans can save them because knowledge and understanding of how other species survive actually DOES help another survive. Humans have borrowed tricks and hacks from numerous other species you dolts.

I imagine his biggest issue would be population how do you even deal with that, yeah people we were kidnapped by some aliens and we are on this space ship out in the middle of space and no one knows where we came from, oh and btw I can change this world at will and push things with my mind. The either gonna think you crazy till you show them and then they probably gonna worship him as a god.

I was at the Requiem premiere in Dallas & in the QA Aronofsky swore he didnt know abt DC til J.Connelly mentioned it while shooting at the pier He also had no idea that Ajay Naidu is a celebrated genius around these parts. ”Ypu mean the mailman?" He couldnt comprehend why people who live where Office Space was shot LOVE that man with a passion. Aronofsky: "Why do you all know him?" Entire audience, in unison: "BECAUSE HE'S A FKN GENIUS!!!" I talked to him for a while afterward. Nice guy.

In the version shown on TV there is a monologue from Keifer Sutherland that explains everything about the Strangers at the beginning of the movie. Funny thing is that the sets from this movie and the coloring would go on to be used in the Matrix.

That monologue was at the beginning of the cinematic version. Alex Proyas hated that version, since it gave away too many secrets at the start. His director's cut eliminated it.

Dark City was more cerebral while The Matrix was more visceral. They're both excellent films that are worthy of rewatching. Dark City wins, however, by not having any disappointing sequels.

Matrix also had one good sequel in the Animatrix, better exploring individual stories using the setting an idea as opposed to expanding it to less than interesting results, in my opinion.
