Marinette does do a lot of rather unsettling things, but in this case the jab was more directed at the creators of the show than Mari. After all, it's the only way to cure Cat Noir, so she's just doing what she has to. What's weird is that the writers made that the case, which could be seen as questionable.

Spoilers for the New York Special!!!! Basically: all miraculous suits have this thing called Quantum Masking, which hides their identities from everyone no matter what. This is why everyone is kind of stupid when it comes to figuring it out; the magic is literally messing with their brains. The only exception to this with robots; I’m sure Markov has figured it out by now, and Aeon from the New York Special explicitly states that she’s not human so she’s not affected by the Quantum Masking.

Adrien and Plagg’s dialogue implies Plagg remembers but Adrien doesn’t, meaning Plagg wasn’t affected in this episode, but at least two episodes in later seasons show the kwamis being affected. In “Oblivio”, Tikki and Plagg’s memories are erased along with Marinette and Adrien’s memories, and in “Psychomedian”, Tikki is perpetually angry while eating the macaron along with Marinette. And there are several more episodes where whether or not the kwamis are affected switches back and forth. Make up your minds, writers!

First of all, that doesn't make any sense. How would the memory loss effect Adrien but not his kwami? At the time of transformation, they are essentially the same person, so something that affects one would affect the other. Secondly, Adrien's response doesn't seem like he doesn't remember, and lastly, even if you are correct, why on Earth would Plagg not tell Adrien about the kiss? If Plagg knew and didn't tell Adrien, that would've 100% been a sin regardless.
