While some attacks aren't the same, they feel more responsive to me. I can't tell you how many times I messed up the koopa and magi-koopa attacks in the original. I used to hate those attacks, but now I use them regularly on my playthroughs. The giant battles no longer require the lungs of superman, (seriously, F the Awful Express!) And I adore the finishing move they added. And Bowser Jr's journey is more fun than i thought it would be, with a nice story too.

@@geistgrace6452 Same, I actually liked the remake more, I feel like the attacks were more responsive like you said and as much crap as people give the giant battles, I prefer them over the DS original just because of the fact that you don't have to use the mic and the addition of a new finishing move similar to the Finishing Bros. from the Dream Team giant battles. People argue that the finishing move is lame, but I feel like it was appropriate for Bowser to use his fists to beat the shit out of his foes, it just feels right to me. One minor complaint I do have against the remake though, is the removal of certain small scenes; for example, in the original DS version, prior to the Super Peach Castle fight there is a small cutscene in which the toads of Toad Town run around, terrified of Bowser. Unfortunately, that scene does not appear in the remake, as do certain others, but it makes up for that by making new scenes, such as Bowser tossing the Fawful Express into the gorge and knocking Peach's Castle around the Earth. Overall, I prefer the remake, but there's nothing against the original either!

its always been a common inconsistency where people by default just think everywhere is the mushroom kingdom when it isnt unless previously established (ie sarasaland and the bean bean kingdom). bowser's kingdom resides in the darklands. he is the king of the koopa kingdom and not a mushroom kingdom resident. bowser shouldve been invited even if they didnt want him there.

Bowser Jr.'s Journey is really cool when you realize that it's the first time Bowser Jr. has his own full story! I mean, Super Mario Sunshine sorta had that, but he wasn't the main protagonist. I have a few myself purely because I love the final boss in this game. For starters, when Dark Bowser traps Bowser in cage, you have the choice to punch yourself free or crouch to shake it and drop it on top of Dark Bowser. In the remake, punching the cage shakes it instead. Secondly, Dark Bowser's punch attack feels...weaker in the remake. It feels like the impact when it lands has been reduced compared to the original. Thirdly, and the biggest sin of all in the remake, the music continues playing even after you defeat the Dark Star Core. In the original, moments before the Dark Star explodes, the music fades out and then Bowser finishes off Dark Bowser. Instead, the music continues playing and it just straight up murders the mood.

Bowsers inside story is what cemented my love for bowser as my favorite villain. Especially when you get to see his very simplistic and way of thinking. I think everything in Bowser Jr’s story kinda took away from the main game and that version of bowser. The thing is ignoring partners in time and seeing this as a direct sequel to superstar saga makes bowser as a character way more interesting. Superstar saga not only is the big bad not Bowser. But it’s my first time seeing bowser and the Mario bro’s as allies especially at the beginning of the game when he fairies them to the bean bean kingdom. In this game it kinda shows that more then anything. Bowsers not “EVIL” per say just misguided. He’s a spoiled brat who’s always gotten what he’s wanted. He’s not a slouch in strength or intelligence but his wisdom is kinda shot. The reason he keeps kidnapping peach is because he believes a king needs a queen. Something very simple that a kid who’s read to many books or watched to many movies would come to. Bowser does things because they’re cool, make him look good or make him look strong. Honestly bowser jrs story could’ve been fixed with a simple. “We’re the hero’s/good guys of our own story.”

Why was she in 3 separate Mario and Luigi games? Perhaps Alpha Dream ran out of ideas with those games. You can sorta tell that they were running out of steam with the original 3DS games even though we all know Dream Team and Paper Jam were still amazing.

I've been waiting to watch this one since Partners in Time. Easily the best characterization of Bowser in any Mario game. I love how the bros and Bowser work together, like a better version of the babies and the main bros in Partners in Time. And good god the dialogue is just hilarious.

Believe it or not, that was actually what made me wanna buy the game back in 2009. I didn’t know Partners in Time already did the time travel thing. I mean, this game’s definitely a great starting point, but it’s also a hard act to follow. At least, I think it is, as my first Mario & Luigi

that was only referring to the fact that bowser only essentially had 10HP because he was the fight tutorial. peach having these powers date all the way back to smb3 where the handbook specifically states that the reason why bowser wants to take over the mushroom kingdom so badly is because peach's wish magic is significantly stronger than his dark magic. and just so we're on the same page regarding the bassline, bowser's dark magic is the power source that allows his airships to fly.
