Nice theories. They give more depth to the character Buuuuut i think that these bosses are inculed because there weren't any other intereting bosses for Shadow. And i doubt they had any other reasoning to pick them than simply "they are cool" and "shadow fought them in one way or another"

The best comparison of the last two Mainline NEW Sonic Games (not including Shadow Generations) I can make is in this quote. Forces left me asking “where’s the rest of it?” Frontiers left me wanting MORE. Frontiers was complete, yet I wanted MORE of it. I felt like I didn’t have enough of a game that I already enjoyed. Forces genuinely made me wonder what happened to the rest of the story and the gameplay, like there was way more planned, but they already extended the deadline and didn’t want to push it back again. It’s like 60% of the game at LEAST is missing when I reach the credits. Frontiers is good to build Sonic’s future going forward. Forces nearly killed it.

I've commented here before, but I feel the need to do so again because after several rewatches, and in the wake of Shadow Generations, I've found more to say about my favourite moment from this rewrite, and that's 51:30, the scene with Commander Tower. This scene is bittersweet to me, because it's such a well-written and emotional moment, that it almost feels unfair that nothing like it has happened in any Sonic game after Shadow '05. The closest we got is a casual mention that Eggman "put GUN in their place" during Forces, but we never get to see it. The only time that Commander Tower has appeared since is in Dark Beginnings, which is technically before Forces, which shows a brief glimpse at Team Dark's relationship with GUN and Commander Tower, and it's something I really think would be fun to explore, especially if Shadow gets more solo stories like Shadow Generations. I highly doubt we'll ever get a canon moment as powerful and emotional as this, but I can only hope so. A massive amount of praise is in order for this rewrite, and I'm eagerly anticipating the next one

Say what you want about Sonic 06, but three things are for certain: Not only did it have a lot of potential that was sadly wasted, it had/has an amazing soundtrack & arguably one of, if not the BEST villain we ever got (Mephiles). In fact, I was one of the few people who, despite its flaws, highly enjoyed it. My biggest complaint though, more than anything, was Elise. Her character was just so boring. Also, why did they make her human? It's cool that they wanted to make/add a Princess to the game, but they should've made Sally Acorn the Princess. And no matter if Sonic was a hit or failed, it still would've (imo) been the PERFECT game to introduce her to the series.

Something I woulda changed about the Mario vs DK fight scene is having the audience chant “He’s bigger, faster, and stronger too! He’s the first member of the DK Crew!” Before he made his appearance, that would’ve amped up DK’s danger level to have an entire stadium of Kongs know a chant about how powerful he is, as well as an extra nod to the DK rap
