Everything Wrong With My 344,000 Mile E39 M5!

In the first video I did a COMPLETE Overview on my new to me 344,000 Mile E39 M5, in this video I specifically cover the faults preparing for the build series and addressing all the issues! Gloss black would be nice on the silver paint, but most of the time darker colors hides the rim design, and they turn brown from the brakedust very quickly. I think silver looks very good on CH-R’s tho

Look at the proportions of this beautiful car. Nothing is too small or too big. How I would envisage a 5 series to be (not just an M5) is exactly what you get with the E39. The current G80 3 series is huge, its actually a bigger and heavier car than these E39 5 series. The proportions are all wrong on them as well. The E30's are just tiny, no room/space. The E36/E38/E39/E46 era of BMW's were just right. Not too long, not too tall, not too wide but also not too small. Fairly basic cars but not to the point where they feel like ancient prehistoric dinosaurs.

I agree, E39 M5 and E46 M3 are 2 of the best all around cars. They even seem small compared to my F80 M3 and that compared to other modern cars seems smaller

Even with all the cranks etc, still a damn good lookin car. With the silver car, the rims would lookin pretty good in bronze, gunmetal grey or copper.. lil bit contrast

People are always afraid of high mileage cars. Many high mileage cars are usually in very good mechanical condition, due to the maintenance it took to get there. Some of my best cars I've bought were 200k+ miles...lots of people with 50-60k mile cars that haven't seen an oil change in YEARS and lots of problems piling up. Maintenance is always KEY

Exactly! It's sad alot of people don't actually understand that or even experience it to form a real opinion. These cars NEED to be driven and when they don't they develop all types of problems and especially carbon build up. It takes good ownership to get a high performance M car to 200k+ miles, most low mileage cars have 0 maintenance and will become the biggest headache if brought to the road

An E65 7-series master cylinder will do wonders for your brake pedal feel. It does more for feel than any brake kit, calipers, lines etc. The plenum carbon fiber plaques are still available, though quite expensive.

Are you gonna change all the interior lights to LED ? And are you gonna fix the roof cause it’s pretty faded. Love this car. Owned one back in 2015 in France before the prices went out of control. Lovely machine.

Yes I will buy the LED kit and replace all interior lights, the wrap of the roof is sun damaged but I'm undecided on keeping the black wrap or removed it. I feel the same lol I've had 3 in the past 2 years and sold them, was missing it and bought this one! Great cars, can only imagine having one in France!

The exterior ain't that mind-boggling Great!! Find!! I personally do not agree with degenerating literally E39 Integrity by adding aftermarket crazyness Rims 🤦‍♀️ My humble GEN X opinion try to find style 65 OEM Rims. Focus your time & $$ S62 Engine Then the Rims I need to get mines redone. Cannot find locally the right place eventually when my tires do wear. my #1 priority S62 & Getrag Short shifter but The knotchiness Mines is purposely"" or has Unicorn 🦄 Eihorn aluminum billets.

Apparently all of the work has already been done and rebuilt but I will eventually start going through all my own concerns or at the very least double check the failing points to confirm they have been changed. I'll go through the car and get everything where it needs to be! It does seem very strong and healthy as is
