Random thought: the gun in the peephole trap might have been meant to scare them. I don't think Jigsaw thought anyone would look in the peephole as the door was being unlocked. I'm a little late here but I'd have to think that the pain from having a key placed in your eye would hurt just as badly. Besides, they likely had to cut all the tissue that holds the eye in place in order to put the key in, so I'm fairly certain a sharp tap on the head would make that eyeball fall right out, no cutting involved. Should be comparatively easy, that is, if we pretend vagal response isn't a thing.

So, why I have not watched the Saw movies it isn't because of the gore it is more because of the all almost impossible high tech booby traps. You would have to spend months if not years on a single trap from design to test phase. To find the right locations for your "games" you would have to scout out places that literally no one owns or visits. Even if you good at engineering it would take a significant amount of time to create these very complex mechanical traps. These traps aren't as easy as putting up a shelve on the wall on a Sunday afternoon. So either he spent years to build these freaking traps or he has a team of engineers designing in AutoCad and testing the prototypes in 24/7. P.S - I would love to see one Saw movie where Mr. Kramer fucks up something in his designs and his trap fails to work or brake. XD

To be fair, the easy solution to Jigsaw's puzzles is just to try to break them. That spikey bat? Just smash literally everything that isn't a person with it. And then smash the most suspicious person. Just them. No one else. Jigsaw's puzzles don't work if you remove the chain holding up the letter from one then use it to lower someone toward the needle pit after smashing the time limit mechanism. Then someone removes the needles one by one. That whole hand trap? Solved by brute force. Those doors? Brute force. Every single problem they had? Brute force.

I know this was seven years ago but the way Cinemasins called Rigg “swat guy we’ll never see again” makes me laugh because he’s the main character of Saw 4 and appears in Saw 3
