This movie would've been way better if it ended like this: The visit has all these unseemly weird occurrences and odd/scary moments but the end of the visit goes well. They send the kids off on the train home. Once they get there the girl edits her film together and shows it to her mom and that's when they all find out that the real grandparents were never there!

It's actually a great idea to volunteer at a psych ward/hospital. Most people are juts very lonely and want people to spend time with.
