Movies need to hire more/better pilots and air traffic controllers as consultants, both for the script and production. "We just lost avionics," as an unqualified statement is simply laughable. Avionics are aviation electronics, which includes the plane's interior and exterior lights, radios, and in some planes even the flight controls. Short of a nuclear EMP, there are redundancies built into flight-critical systems so that even if they all fail, they won't fail simultaneously.

I've been meaning to rewatch this movie since I missed bits and what I remember was more-or-less a blur. Why are the snakes down but not up when they came from up? They can't cllimb stairs? Couldn't a missle have done the job more practically? Surely I missed some plot points. ... Turns out no, that's just the movie xD
