If I had future vision and used it often, I would want the most positive outcome to come true. Even if it was the *least* probable outcome, I would try to strive for it and would want others to look forward to it, even if *I* don't. Unlike me, Garnet actually looks forward to the most positive future, while I, without future vision, look forward to the worst because I don't want to be let down if it actually happens, or want to be elated when the opposite happens.

re: future vision: a) ehh, the show is built around all kinds of future stuff and you base sins off future content sometimes. I don't see "they didn't expand on it yet" meaning that it can't be used now. b) Maybe it is, but once again, ehh. Anything involving time travel is gonna be naturally funky (even good moments like Dr. Strange) and SU doesn't pretend to be some Sci-fi that tries to carefully justify all its technobabble despite having FTL travel, physical projections of sentient light (that can apparently cry and sleep), and reproduction between said light and organic water life forms. So I can't be too hard on it. But sure some moments of using it (or not) are just for plot convenience.

@@GumSkyloard well yeah that was definitely part of the process but creating a baby requires more than a cavity in your body that is big enough or stretchy enough to hold it. gems, as far as we know, don't have dna, which is normally an extremely important part of that process. even if they did, it would almost certainly be incompatible with human dna. that's why i headcanon that the only reason steven can exist is because magic diamond life powers. am i overthinking this show about magic cartoon space rocks? yeah, but i'm having fun with it.

I think Garnets vision could've been refined a bit more. For instance i enjoy the way Alice from Twilight's future vision works- basically she can only see the choice that has been made that causes such future. Basically if someone changes their mind and does something different than the previous choice, the whole future changes. Basically Alice's future vision is based on "the butterfly effect".

Future vision is not as broken as you think it is it is possible that there was simply no future where peridot didn’t want it back like steven was. Going to ask Connie to marry him. I do get how that had to be explained a lot later than it should be but that kinda clears future vision up because it is also possible that garnet has to activate her future vision meaning that her being startled by others then she might not be using the power so where garnet has to know something her power might not be activated and when she sees the garenteed future its probubly a 100% chance
