I feel like the "Always did what she wanted" line was an example of them (especially Pearl) putting aside their bad blood and instead bonding over their shared memories of Rose I mean that was the whole point of the song.

Of course they're bonding over their shared memories, the problem is what memory they're bonding over. "She always did what she wanted" is such a generic line, it's almost the same as "She used to blink her eyes" or "When she spoke, her lips moved" Like... ?

You are fundamentally wrong about the spinning shot on Pearl, it's WAY harder to animate her body consistently moving WHILE the camera is rotating and having it look good than it is to simply animate her movement on the glass. You can still dislike it but it was definitely not done to take a break from anything, because it's simply a harder thing to animate.

I feel that this might be a hot take but this episode is okay, it might even be good, but it isn’t really my favorite episode ever. I don’t particularly remember any of the songs from the episode, or most of the things that happened during the episode before watching this video, and the way Greg and Pearl “resolved” their relationship was off by just addressing the problem. Other than that, the episode is fairly harmless to me and I feel that I pissed off a lot of people.

It’s odd how you love Steven Universe when there are so many fundamental problems that YOU YOURSELF point out. I’m not saying you can’t love this series for what it does do right, but when there are multiple series, past, present, and most likely future, that are doing what Steven Universe is doing a hundred times better, it sorta odd this is your favorite animated series of all time. @@SoməøneXD I can spot three gaping flaws with your argument. #1. So by acknowledging a piece of medias flaws, it shows how much you care about it because you analyze it. That mean when anyone goes off on how bad Velma, or High Guardian spice, or modern Star Wars, that means we love these piles of garbage? If it’s a remake or a new installment in a series, we complain about the flaws because we love what came before, not because we care about what’s being shoved in our faces. #2. “It’s a kids show on CN” …I don’t think you know how to distinguish between good and bad cartoons. Powerpuff Girls, the original Teen Titans, Ben 10, Adventure Time, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, Code name kids next door, Samurai Jack, Ok Ko, We Bear Bears, Chowder, Flap Jack, Clarance, Uncle Grandpa, etc. All of these series are CN shows, but unlike Steven Universe, they are all vastly better then the show in nearly every way. Better animation, voice acting, storytelling, better coherence plots, some with even better emotional moments. Shut up. #3. This series being a parody is clearly not the case since a lot of his criticism is serious. Maybe back then, but this is a recent episode.
