Missed sin: During the Alexandrite fusion the placements of Amethyst and Pearl switch a lot. At first Amethyst is on the right of Garnet and Pearl is on the left, then the next shot it’s switched, then in the overhead shot they switch again then, then they switch again when they fuse

1:28 Probably been said before: Malachite shares the information known between Jasper AND Lapis, but seeing how the camera pans into Lapis's part of the eye AND Malachite says "Steven" with a Lapis pronounced voice, it definitely wasn't just Jasper wanting to kill him. And for further speculation, in the movie Lapis blatantly says "I'm still on the fence" about trying to kill Steven. I feel like she'll either be that last *big bad* and join back up with Jasper and the other Lapis Lazulis shown in the SU:Future opening OR. She's a wise-guy that cracks the wrong jokes at the wrong time.

1:10 ok so A) Malachite is an unstable fusion between lapis and Jasper, unstable being the word of the day here, but a fusion none the less. Both parties are in somewhat control of the fusion as long as their mental and emotional states are somewhat synced up with each other. When a fusion is brought together it’s a combination of the gems that made it. To take a quote from garnet “They are not one person, they are not two people, they are an experience” As in even though Malachite is one entity, she cannot function without the mental stability of both gems, and it’s been show many times in past or at least mentioned that the lapis part of malachite is holding down the Jasper part. Thus making this fusion unbalanced and uncoordinated at times, especially since lapis is trying to hold down jasper with the weight of the ocean In the episode Chile Tid when Steven talks to lapis directly in his dreams. Them being uncoordinated and unable to focus together ((in this Case jasper constantly wanting to move and go anywhere else that’s not the bottom of the ocean and lapis constantly holding her back)) likely means that they’re just wondering around the ocean floor with no real way of knowing where they are or how long they’ve been underwater. So it’s only random chance that they happen to be on watermelon Steven island. It’s also chance that Malachite made it there just as her lapis part was stating to give and was effectively at the end of her rope, periodically popping in out of the water as the jasper half gain controlled and eventually broke free. So to basically sum up the first part, it just happened by random chance. B) Again Malachite is a combination of the two entities of Jasper and Lapis, meaning that she has their memories, and after being together so long they see the form of Steven and are able to come up the conclusion that Steven=Rose Quarts. As in even though Jasper recognizes the form and referees to it as Rose Quarts ((Not even in the episode returns she actually said “You have the power of Rose Quarts.”)) and Lapis who has spent the most time with Steven and knows his name is Steven as in that’s what he responds to when called upon, Malachite just puts the two together and says “Ok this is Rose, but her form is different and she’s taken on a new name as Steven as proven by my Lapis half after spending more time with it. But my jasper half hates it must be bad. But it’s name now is Steven.” ((In other words she able to put together that this new form is called Steven but has something to do with Rose Quarts.)) There’s that explanation or we could just say that the lapis part was able to see, recognized that the form is similar to Steven and thus says Steven, but since lapis is losing control Jasper steps in and says “Yea no F*** this thing.” And neither of them know what a watermelon is, much less know about the watermelon Stevens and their significance. ((Maybe Lapis does, since she and Steven spent the day together as beach summer fun buddies as she was still in mirror and the watermelon stuff happened off screen.)) I’m gonna bet that lapis doesn’t since she obviously sees the watermelon Steven sacrifice and doesn’t think “wait, wasn’t Steven white when I last saw him? Who is he stripped like me?” C) Jasper Hates Rose Quarts. Jasper thinks Steven is Rose Quarts. Jasper hates Steven ((See S3E23 Earthlings to see why. That screen though) Jasper is able to associate that Steven is Rose Quarts and as such, wants to bust a cap in his ass, ((Bayonetta reference)), Lapis is at the end of her string trying to keep jasper down. Jasper is gain control as a result. Jasper happens to see something that looks like the thing she hates. She takes the moment that’s she in control to lash her anger out on the thing that looks like the person she hates while she’s in control. This happens until lapis breaks Right then I know that this comment was long and really f***ing unnecessary but I just thought f*** it and decided to provide and answer to some of your questions. The Steven Watermelon ritual thing seems sorta off, but I think it works better if you consider Malachite as one VERY conflicted person instead like a massive gundum two people are fighting over. She calls Steven Steven because Lapis does. She feeds on the water melon sacrfice as a way to sate her hatred of rose/steven. Because Malachites mental state is undeniably very chaotic, she doesn't much mind that watermrlon steven is a watermelon, but the mere shape of him makes it enough to satisfy her (or at least the part of her that's jasper's) hatred of him so that when she eat/kills him, she experiences a feeling of carthasis that momentarily subdues her more... Jasper-like qualities. The lapis part of her is able to use the ritual to keep herself under control. All in all, thinking as fusions as there own people is very fun concept, Malachite being an amazing example as we can see her as her own character, mixed with the two very distinguished constituents being very present in her expression and speech. Like how we see her struggle in every other scene except the fight against alexandrite, because Lapid and Jasper's mutual hatred of the crystal gems is something that they can agree on, so she becomes a lot more stable. She's a complex character as well as an interesting character and i hope we get to see more of her.

Just wanted to point somthing out, in keystone motel our ruby has a DAGGER. But in bubbled( im not sure thats the name but its the episode where eyeball (the ruby) is in a bubble with steven) eyeball has a dagger. Your point for sin 2 makes no sense as the memories and emotions of the two gems fusing create an entire entity separate to themselves (unless it’s unstable, as malachite shows...) I think my only complaint about this sinning video is the overanalyzing of Malachite referring to Steven as Steven rather than Rose Quartz, when it should be pretty obvious that it's some of Lapis' mannerisms leaking through, despite Jasper primarily being in control. Malachite is extremely unstable, but she's still a fusion. Lapis still exists.
