Uhhhh... Garnet explained how the doors of the temple work in "Beach Party". They are basically connected pocket dimensions, carved into the existence of the temple. Since all of their door gems (except Rose's) lit up, they probably just altered Alexandrite's room, since it was barely used.

I really liked this episode cuz you can see that this is a big moment of Steven starting to mature and taking care of the gems. He knew it meant a lot to them to feel like they did the right thing and helped him, so he pretended to be happy for them. I see it as the beginning of the incredibly selfless behavior he has, which hurts him just as much as it helps him. Of course, it's also sad cuz this is where we start to see him hide his feelings to protect the people he cares about, which we know is only the beginning of this habit and it eventually spirals out of control and he starts becoming unable to deal with his own feelings because he's so focused on fixing everyone else's problems. We see this in Future where it's gotten to that point where he doesn't know how to be okay when he's not self-sacrificing and helping others.

this has to be my favorite because the way steven handled the test. he knew everything was fake but didnt tell the gems he knew because it would cause problems. He just accepted that the gems didnt really trust him as much as he thought

My guess is they had an invisible, soundproof wall around the exit, with the only hole being the exit itself (Most likely because they planned on adding multiplayer later, and wanted to prevent anyone from giving answers from the exit). I think the metaphysical thing is simpler then they make it seem. The core idea here is that they altered the rooms structure. From what we know about the gems and the temple compressing space and making hard light objects within any physiological parameters they want is easy for them. Meaning the room is effectively VR without the headset. It's all just a projection made to suit their needs.

I have a theory as per why the gems programmed collission in the roof: If Steven suddenly developed Rose's floating abilities, he wouldn't just noclip through the roof. Also, the only areas programmed without collision are the areas where the "dangers" appear so they function normally

Honestly I think Garnet is the only one who actually knows how to raise Steven,Pearl while being a good role model is way to protective and coddles him way too much, plus she tends to teach Steven in an overly complicated way that he doesn't understand like in the very first episode with weapon summoning,also she tends to want to do things for him instead of telling him that he's got this or he can do it like when he fused,and Amethyst is too irresponsible,reckless and isn't exactly the best role model,plus I can't see her telling Steven to 'go to bed' or 'clean your room' or anything like that.While Garnet is not only responsible and a pretty good role model,but she teaches Steven to have self confidence and clearly trusts that he can handle it,plus she knows the most about fusion which the others don't know much about and she's the most mature and reasonable out of all of them,and she's the only one who would most likely be okay with telling Steven more about Rose and is the only one who doesn't dislike Greg.
