Those comics were bad-ass! The first movie was dark but up to a certain point, it was pretty tame in comparison to the black and white comics from the 1980s and took it's influences from those aforementioned black and white comics and the 1980s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, which at the time was still on the air. why did they tie back up the professor after he mutated the animals? they should've just killed the guy because they didn't need him anymore.

Professor Perry was also supposed to be an utrom in the movie too. But that part was also changed, both because of budget constrains, and since they thought those who weren't familiar with the comics would have mistaken him for Krang for that matter as well.

It was the worst part of the movie. I was 10 years old when the movie came out and even I was disappointed with the nerfing especially with the first one already being so dark.
@botiemaster33568 жыл бұрын
Probable sad part is, it was probably like an extreme minority of people who whined about the weapons and eventually got their way because studios are always employed with pussies. What does that remind us of...?

3:19 you're going to sin Shredder being brutally compacted in the last movie, but not the fact that April has gotten a new promotion, moved to brand new digs (because her home was BURNED DOWN in the last movie), and has apparently been keeping the turtles at her place for weeks? And yet not only is the Shredder only emerging NOW but the scene with the Foot is played out like they were only JUST meeting up after the end of the first movie? Like it's implied to have all happened super recently? Possibly in the last few days? And you DIDN'T sin that?

they don't. The CGI ones look far better and more unique and more realistic (nostrils and the need to wear pants to hide their bits makes sense for human/turtle hybrids). Never liked these old films despite being a big fan of the toon and toys at the time. The animatronics were neat at the time but the mouth movements look awful now and the suits are just too clunky and fight scenes look terrible and their personalities all sort of blend in together. Out of the Shadows is a great live action version of the original toon and has great action scenes.
