Back in the 90s Raiden was Rayden and Michelangelo was Michaelangelo. They're their localized proper-names, like how Hercules is Heracles depending on when and where people are telling the story. The Mortal Kombat creators ended up spelling it how they said it, for the first few games. They still pronounce it "Rayden" today, which is wrong for the "Raiden" spelling. But then he's also supposed to be "Raijin" from Japanese mythology, because his brother is "Fujin" not "Fuden." But he fights along with Chinese Monks. "Michaelangelo" with the "a" was printed in the comics and on toy boxes; which was fine when referring to the Turtle character and not the artist.

"Michaelangelo" was the correct spelling for the TMNT character when this movie was made. In the first issue of the original comic they misspelled it and then stuck with that spelling until the 2003 cartoon, when they changed it to match the spelling of his renaissance artist namesake.

Especially considering that the budget was more than the first movie & almost as much as the second! The Turtles here were on par with their appearances on The Next Mutation and Power Rangers In Space TV shows that had far fewer funds to work with! Henson’s death after Secret Of The Ooze is the main factor folks seem to point to as why the quality of the creature costumes were so awful, but that can’t be the only reason this movie looked so bad.

5:17 here's the thing the scepter is proximity based meaning that whenever the scepter activated it will scan nearby people and swap them out but if there's no one near the scepter when it's activated it will at least not swap anyone but if there's multiple people the scepter will measure there weight and swap the people with the closest/most similar weight so even if Kenshin and April don't have the same weight they would've swapped regardless unless one or the other ran away from the scepter which they don't know yet

Fun fact, samurai had been using guns since about the 13 century and even though the katakana is an iconic weapon of the samurai they had other weapons (also had multiple weapons on them most of the time), katakanas were too large to use properly so there was a smaller blade used for indoors fighting. Also samurai had access to weapons designed for piercing armour so tue shells would have no effect and there were actual ninjas active (assassinating) during this time period. And last but not least that wouldn't be the king he world be a warlord, and Japan never had a king or queen they had emperors and empress. Talk about bad research Im basically saying this film lacks any historical accuracy for the period as samurai specialised in verious melee and ranged weapons that were determined by the samurai's preference and skills, but they did get the foot soldiers right.

Dude, "Michaelangelo" was misspelled in the 80s when originally trademarking the Turtles, but it was too late to change it. That's why it's spelled the way it is, to follow the copyright. The Raiden/Rayden difference is similar. It was "Raiden" in the arcades, and "Rayden" for home consoles to circumvent a copyright for a "Raiden" game on home consoles. I guess I'm old enough to still remember that stuff.

6:53 1st the reason why the turtles are going to the past are A splinter (there father and mentor) told them too and B there's a chance that kenshin told them about his father being a warmonger and the turtles were willing to help out and 2nd admittedly the movie doesn't make this clear but in order to use the scepter the user has be at the very least touching or being connected to the scepter or being really close to it meaning that if Kenshin use the scepter Kenshin would've been swapped to one of the soldiers pretty close to the honor guards

They fight ninja clans, triceratop aliens, a talking brain creature from another dimension, mutants twice their size, a dangerous ninja clan leader who uses blades attached to his gloves who wishes to make turtle soup out of them, and let's not forget the normal criminals of the city who might get a lucky shot with a gun or a blunt weapon which can be repelled with the pads. But yeah, why would the turtles need protective wear?

It's not called "Turtles in Time". That was just an easy title used by fans over the years, which lead to Nickelodeon slapping it on the new DVD box art to hopefully dupe consumers. Only the arcade game and SNES port have that title.
