For those wondering, this bike should make right around 46HP at 229lbs. If the sticker on the frame is accurate, then those are the stats for the bike (for all those Americans out there).

Finally someone going with KYB beside's Yamaha. I was disappointed to see Ducati stick with Showa instead of going with Ohlins.
@orange166610 ай бұрын
Because Showa is superior to ohlins , it’s more reliable and consistent , better to work with - ohlins trades on its legacy and has lost its way in off-road - do you see anyone winning in the last decades with ohlins in MX GP’s , AMA nationals - NO
@American_Enigma10 ай бұрын
@@orange1666 No time like the present to get back into it, especially with the Ducati. I've ridden Ohllins suspension and liked it a lot and I've been a diehard KYB guy for years. I think the bigger issue here is Ohlins doesn't offer nearly as much factory support and it's harder to find shops who are knowledgeable enough, let alone willing to work on them. The profit margin historically hasn't been there in the past. However, given their great relationship with high end Ducati products (Showa usually comes on their base models, like the Panigale V4 vs the V4S, which has electronic Ohlins) I thought we might see a change. As it currently stands it doesn't make sense for the teams to run Ohlins given the current business model from Ohlins. They can get a better deal with far more support from the Showa and KYBs of the world.

I have been quick to judge this bike. I wanted to not like it for some reason, because it’s a triumph I guess. But I have to say, I’m super impresssed. This may be one of the best bikes out there. Akrapovic, KYB, Brembo, etc these are seriously nice components- AND a strong motor, and light weight.. that’s a good recipe for a bike to show up straight from the dealer.

Just a thought. How the F.... we are going to grow the sport???? A motorcycle is cool, but don't you think it's getting too expensive already? How do we attract new entrants if no one can afford to pay for this hobby. Motocross should be a little more wallet friendly. Maintenance, track fees, scraps add up so much that you pay yourself to be a bitch. None of the Sunday riders will be able to go race anymore soon, if they already have to pay 15,000 for a motorcycle. The hourly mark, together with maintenance and track fees and scraps, will be so high that soon no one will be able to ride motocross anymore. Better think about how to make an 6-7 thousend entry-level motorcycle that you can gradually tune to 15,000 thousand yourself. Why manufacturers have to make a new version every year. They could sell these versions for, say, five years. Wouldn't it be great if you could buy yourself a new 2020 yamaha e.g. From the representative office. You have to figure something out, maybe so all the manufacturers shood bring back the two strokes and start to developing them again. Best of Luck
