I have type 3/type 4 hair. Because of it, I think I have contradicting properties. My coily, curly hair always stay poppin and defined with just water. NO product or twisting/singling, finger coiling, etc.

@@mustafasaid7942 products help but I use very light shampoo and conditioner w/ oil during wash days only. The ratio is like 85% water and 15% product whenever I decide to use them. My hair is naturally oily, having type 4 coils with type 3 definition & texture (pretty much natural finger coils). Its wierd but I have to shampoo often while using way less products and I'm still resistant to frizz. Having Type 3/4 hair is really tricky to manage but I feel it's the most unique hair type.

I still have crazy definition both ways but my coils feel more lighter now than weighed down before. They still grow downward, than into an afro though lol.

I don't think put your hair strand in a cup of water works because I did that and the strand floated, then I believe it was low porosity then I did it again and It stayed in the middle , then yet my hair soaks of a lot of water very fast and the moisture stays in my hair for days pls help me find out what my porosity is. I think it's normal porosity
