I visited for two days to check it out as a place to flee central Oregon and retire. Sadly I see the fingerprints of the same gaudy CA money that has ruined my home area. I did love the area and would have moved if I could have done it ten years ago. Probably not now. I tried to strike up conversation with people as I was out for meals or buying fuel but I never met a native. Everyone was from CA or CO.

Maybe you should come down here and serve and cook since you are trying to move everyone in here and you can make min wage depending on tips!! Then you can pay $2000 per month for rent because you made it all go up inviting all the out of town rich guests!! Please stop! There's a reason businesses close early here because they can't get enough employees. Many of them live in travel trailers!!

When i bought in Hamilton in 2020 i put in 4 offers over asking price that were beat out by someone offering either 15%+ over asking or straight up offering to pay cash before i got lucky with the place i got
