Actually Leif changes his stock in Harv’s plaza every *week* not every day. However he could still show up at your main island and you can get new seeds that way.

for anyone that sees this for the fist time after making or restarting an island. you do need to have a three start Island to unlock the shop part of the island. you will not get a letter from harv untill after you visit him once then( if it not already) and have your island at 3 stars

I unlocked Reese and Cyrus right away, and based on what I've tried thus far, it appears that you can customize all the holiday items (which previously required special seasonal materials to customize them) AND it appears that you can unlock all the color ways of regular items from them, which would make cataloging obsolete! I haven't tested it with a ton of items yet, but thus far it's worked and it has been amazing!

They switch regularly. One week someone had tomatoes and sugar cane, the next they had tomatoes and wheat. You can also get all the veggies from the Kapp'n islands.

if the item has the little R icon on it, that means only Cyrus can customize it. Otherwise you can customize it using a customization kit or let Cyrus do it.

when you first see him in your island talk to him. you will go to his island get that tutorial. however you will not get the letter unless the island is a three star island

If you reset your island/start a new one you don't unlock Harv's Plaza until you unlock terraforming unfortunately

You can donate to all the Gyroids, you can just only max out one a day. When I visited the first time, I put in 99,000 in all the gyroids then maxed out Leifs.

Update: If you are new or starting over, you get the letter after your meat Harv and two days after kk does his first island visit. New to the game again. I don’t have the new residence services. I tried your method and it does not work. I skipped the tutorial like you said. I did this last night and no mail this morning
