I have 2 traditional Japanese sleeves and chest all done. Very bold and bright. Just completely saturated with colors... dreading finishing my torso. Was just cruising the web looking at videos.

I love the japanese this Japanese History and culture, And plan to get sleeves Of traditional Japanese style. Great info!!! I’ve been looking for literature on these stories and the traditions. I see a lot of tattooers using pigmented grays instead of a wash. Would they use more water and less grinding for the washes in Japan or is white added as well?
@thehakulife1 Жыл бұрын
Nah no white! I tried this when I first started to learn wondering how the hell they got such a solid look and assumed it was opaque greys but it looked so wrong in the skin. It's still normal grey wash just put in the skin a different way
@josepena51878 ай бұрын
What does the solid lower jaw tattoo mean? Great video btw
@thehakulife17 ай бұрын
Heya, what do you mean by solid jaw tattoo? If you're talking about any kind of neck tattoo, in traditional Japanese they do not tattoo visible areas such as hands neck and face.

Thx mate for sharing your knowledge. I am a professional tattoo artist myself for over 10 yesrs, but i have worked in reslism and western style so far. Now i wont to learn the japenese traditional way to do tattoos. Bought some books already and try to drae some designs. But i dont wont to tattoo the designs on my clients before i understand the style better. P.S. Would be nice if you could recomend some good books on irezumi

I think the Japanese tattoo book by hori benny is really good for information. No book will really teach you to draw though

@callmesupreme15332 жыл бұрын
Probably how they were able to get their body fully inked cause of the traditional way cause now the glutes and back of the leg hurt like no tomorrow and you’ll be sore forever
@daltonball246526 күн бұрын
Would it be offensive if me (a white American) to get a traditional Japanese style sleeve tattoo? I absolutely love the style and have for a looooong time but i have been reading up on the meanings of the characters and symbols and would like to get something thats meaningful of course but dont want to disrespect the culture
@thehakulife123 күн бұрын
Absolutely not! If it's something you love then why wouldn't you get it. Just make sure it's done well though! Research your artist
