After watching this and your Purito comfy skin routine. I went with Purito. I am afro latino but I also have eczema so even with darker skin (fenty 345) I burn VERY easily. We have been gardening a-lot and I keep getting sunburned. Especially my cheeks and ears! I use black girl sunscreen currently. He was saying I need a physical sunscreen but im always scared of the white cast. I am hoping this purito really does not give me a white cast! Haha

Colzie Tucker good choice! I’m really not a fan of physical filters, but the chemical filters we have available in the US don’t cut it!!! If you do like the Purito one (which I agree is the better option for your skin tone and concern) check out their chemical ones. Amazing filters, great formula, and no white cast!

Colzie Tucker oh no you’re completely right! They’re amazingly moisturizing formulas while also not being heavy. Since I have oily skin, I skip moisturizer and go in straight with my sunscreens.

Hi chiming in if possible and you can get some European sunscreens (eg in Mexico they are available) Nivea, Eucerin and La Roche Posay specially invisible fluid are great because they have new filters LRP fluid is PD over 40 so a lot of protection and they don’t look white ( my ex was black American) even Nivea for the body is amazing on the face. I use the LRP and alternate with Nivea Face Sun Oil Free ❤️ hope that helps and a protective sun hat with UPF May be great

Wow! This was loaded of information! New follower here :) I put Biore Aqua Rich in my cart on amazon but still didn't check out coz I am still looking for a better review of other products. I would like to buy the Hada Lobo (which I first watched in your channel before I came across this one:) but unfortunately it's not available here in Amazon UAE :( Anyhow, thank for this. Now I have better understanding of how/what to buy on sunscreen. :) Btw, there are products that are going around the market esp. in asia regarding Rejuvenating Sets. brands like: Prestige Rejuvenating set, Brilliant Skin Rejuvenating Set. I hope you can make a review of it to better understand from the ingredient point of view. I am tempted to use it due to my unstoppable pimples :( Thank you! All the sunscreens with Avovenzone as their main source of UVA (black girl sunscreen, hydroboost, Missha etc) protection are no bueno. You're not as protected as you think you are with these subpar sunscreens. I wish the company for Black Girl Sunscreen would come out with some tinted physical sunscreens in several tan to deep shades.

It CAN be when paired with the right filters (kinda like a power couple) but then the issue is that the main pairing filters that really stabilize and fortify it aren’t approved in the US (Tinosorb) so it’s like, WHAT’S THE POINT?!? Missha has Tinosorb, but tea about the other two. Plus it’s not that promising to me that Black Girl Sunscreen is only SPF 30. But then the issue becomes that physical sunscreens are the more reliable protection filters but then aren’t brown and black skin friendly 😔

I have dark olive oily acne prone skin: missha or purito comfy of purito chemical? Help???

What it boils down to is: you want something super thin and lightweight (missha), or still pretty thin but more like moisturizer texture (purito). The only cons for each is that Missha can sting if you get it in your eyes, and purito can sit a little more richly on your skin if you layer too much underneath it. If you do what I do, which is just some hydrators and then sunscreen on top, I like Purito. If you use more skincare underneath and prefer a thinner sunscreen, Missha. Both set down super quickly with absolutely no whitecast whatsoever and they both sit beautifully underneath makeup.

Also, I'm talking the Purito chemical formulas (unscented if you got more sensitive skin). Comfy Water isn't an amazing formula.

I work at night. Sooo I am very confused. Since I sleep during the morning, should I put sunscreen even when I am asleep after my skin care? Or do I apply sunscreen during night time since I am in front of the computer the whole night. I am really confused.. should wear sunscreen both day and night? Help meeee! 😭

Lol I wouldn’t worry about the computer part. The blue light emitted from electronics is so minimal compared to the actual blue and visible light exposure you would get from the sun. Just be sure antioxidants are included in your routine. Also, iron oxides (like in foundations) help protect the skin as well from blue light. But again, such a small amount comes from screens. With the night/day thing, I’d say as long as you have curtains that can block out light in the morning, you’re ok from needed to wear sunscreen as you sleep. Until you’re more directly in UV exposure (outside or directly next to a window), I don’t think you need to worry. Are there specific skin concerns you have that UV can exacerbate?

Yay thanks for the reply @🥰 I have no skin concerns (other than it being so sensitive), its just that I want to prevent aging as much as I can. I am in my late 20's and I would love to prevent my skin from getting wrinkles. I usually sleep in a very dark room where the sun light can't peek through. 😊 I feel more at ease now.. What Korean brand would you recommend for sensitive and combo oily skin ?

Purito hands down is a great place to start. Their formulations (mineral and chemical) come with sun soothing ingredients like centella asiatica and its derivatives, which are soothing and repairing to the skin, plus they're great price points. I like a more moisturizing sunscreen, so I will say the chemical versions (Green Level Centella Safe Sun) can leave you a bit dewy, but if you blot after 5 min of applying, you should be good. I skip moisturizer and go straight in with this to avoid a heavy feeling. An alternative would be The Saem's Eco Earth Power Aqua Sun Gel. It's my all time favorite PERIOD, with great UV protection, nice soothing ingredients, and it's such a lightweight, quick setting texture while still leaving your skin supple. My oily skin LOVES it.
