This is one of, If not the, best fishing tutorials I've watched on KZbin ever!! Hat off to you Jamie, first class mate!

The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight kzbin.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

Always a pleasure to watch Jamie, who is in my opinion one of the very best feeder fishing broadcasters. A real asset to Matrix. Keep the videos coming please. 🎣

Hi Jamie,would you prefer a spade end or a eyed hook for feeder fishing?
@briandonaghy90752 жыл бұрын
Great video, Jamie! Would you ever consider using a plastic feeder with no side holes? When you use a hook length of 50 cm. does the bait land 50 cm. away from the feeder or is it dragged down on top of the feeder by the natural fall of the feeder?

Great video 👍......I would have just changed to straight bomb....always works miracles with me 🙂.....then change to the feeder again.....just see how the fish react 👍plus I would have a second rod identical set up.....but overcast the distance x the depth your fishing.....fish will back off into a partially baited area....due to feed coming out on impact. ......try it out guys......it works 🙂👍

Just a question for feeder fishing (I’m new to it) when using ground bait do I have to reel it back in every 5 or so mins to put more ground bait on or do I just leave it till I catch?
@fishingmadmolly78222 жыл бұрын
do you use fluro for your hooklengths? if so does that affect the length ?

Jamie....ever thought of doing a video of a old fashion fishing art?......float ledgering??...... or even using it in a match??......you get it right and it will amaze you!!......many years ago I fished a very large pit in Norfolk.......80ft in places......I was fishing this method 10 ft from bank...over cabbage......lost count and weight of what I caught.....bream 5-7lb.....tench up to 8lb......150lb-200lb plus!!!.....I recon more to be honest.....what a day just under the rod top.....was a windy sw wind day.....perfect conditions...... alot of anglers are unaware of this classic method......but it works 100%.

I realy liked the video for its information content, but there are 2 things I noticed. 1) You just brushed away the line clippings when making up the rig. Not very emviromentally friendly. 2) people asked questions in the 'comments' but I never saw 1 answer. Guess this is because Matrix are behind these videos and only want to advertise ground baits, rods and reels. Otherwise, a very good video. Barry
