I honestly am in the same boat that I never thought about or think about certain things or how to live with your best friend and lover until my own marriage happens one day. Good lessons indeed since I lived alone for so long and got so used to that way of life accepting being glossed over by most people for my low position in the world as a man and not having any intimate dating relationships the past 9 years. I need to start thinking of how to even the playful questions like what’s one place you would want to travel to one day, etc. I am not content with isolation and singleness, but I am seeking Jesus and the Word for growth during my time while desiring to share the agape love building in my heart with a wife one day.

I understand how this might be an uncomfortable request, but could you give short, simple concrete examples from your everyday lives for each of these points (other than the sex one, of course). Adjusting to each other - how? Being intentional - how? I believe your advice is sound, but it's also quite abstract, and I would appreciate seeing how the words can be put into practice. ;)

i have to share something that doesn't have a lot to do directly with this video, but rather with your channel in general. I saw both of you had found god after a health crisis (let's call it that way). And I have listened to your testimony of how you felt and so I will share my story which goes the opposite way. I grew up religious, had all my sacraments etc., it was especially important during war here in croatia, people found a lot of peace and comfort through prayer. and then even later in life I always talked to god and asked for comfort and love and never found it. and then when I was around thirty my father died and I was there in the room with his dead body. and I was looking at his face and suddenly I had this deep feeling and realization that there is no god and that that is okay. suddenly all my anxiety lifted and all the sadness and all the anger. I realized that there is no god and that life is just the way it is because of complete coincidence, luck, there is no higher meaning in anything there is nothing bigger than us and suddenly deep peace went over me. peace, relief and acceptance. almost as if I woke up from a strange dream that was my life before that. I saw life and world around me as it really was and I was able to accept it. And so I identify from that point on as an atheist and I am so much more happy and peaceful and calm since. I learned acceptance and learned how to be present in this world. The moment I stopped being spiritual or religious in any way I finally saw everything around me clearly. I am glad that people find similar kind of peace through god, but in my case it was the opposite. In the end of the day, our goal is to be peaceful and to do good, so any way that brings us to that is a good way.
