Jeff whenever you mention the 'magic lady who walks around telling people they can park there" I always fall over laughing!

The guy with the truck and trailer, he knew where he parked but he didn't want to admit that he was wrong. I see it all the time nowadays. People drive like they own the road and even park as though they own the parking lot. With how fast that guy drove away, shows how angry he was that he got caught. Good on you guys for staying calm! Love your videos!! Stay Safe!!! ❤❤❤

We use to go to Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge all the time and we were there a few times when these rod runs were there! What a mess! Finding places to park was insane! I’m glad to see them being towed! Good work Jeff and Kristan!❤

Thats why I quit coming years ago to the Rod Run and Gatlinburg. To hard to find somewhere to park, even the shops I wanted to go shopping in orcto eat. So now I go to the car show in Charlotte, they have plenty of parking places. Gatlinburg and pigeon forge was just not worth the hassle to me to find somewhere to park. You get told so many places you can park that isn't true. You are fair and you treat people with respect enjoy your videos.

One of the reasons I haven't attended Rod Run in 16 years, the type of people it attracts. I despise the "tough guy" wannabe slob that thought he was going to bully you around. Should've took him up on his offer to walk wherever, he'd have fell over walking more than a 20 yards.

Eventually, the respected Generation will get rolled and nostalgic vehicles cancelled due to poor fuel consumption and emissions. Along with DollyWood cancelling a recent car event, more to come soon as downtrend profit spirals...Due to Jeff's poor de-escalation methods and odd spastic reactions, it may be clear the reason local/cty cops leave him out of rotation.

I'm 65 years old. I spent 20 years in the USN from 77 to 97, driven all over this country from East to West and North to South, been stationed in and visited other countries, and up until a few years ago, routinely made the trip from NC to Texas and back to visit friends during the Christmas season. And never in all that time, visiting all those places and running into different people, did I ever feel in any real danger or the need to have some means of defending myself, other than using my words, my brains, and my feet to avoid trouble in the first place. But the way things have gotten over just the past few years, even just shopping in the local area, I now feel the need to at least have one of those small keychain pepper spray dispensers in my pocket, just in case I run into someone that won't leave well enough alone. Back in the 60's when I was a kid, I'd ride my bicycle up and down our 2 mile road all day long without a care. Now, I wouldn't dare walking past the mailbox without having my cell phone and pepper spray along.

I've been solo traveling as you said north to south, east to west since July 23. I carry several forms of protection, the least lethal of which is a Taser, and have a CC permit for them all. Thankfully I've never felt the need to use any of them but as you said, this world is changing and not for the better. I never thought at 65 I'd have the attitude of better safe than sorry but it is what it is. 😢

Yeah, hard to believe I felt safer being three sheets to the wind while on liberty in Mombasa, Kenya than I do being stone cold sober walking downtown in any major US city. That being said, I treasure the memories I have with my shipmates while overseas. USN 80-84

@dependablepaul my first real love was stationed on the USS Mullinix. Loved that navy man until he decided a girl closer to where he was stationed was better😢. But I got over it and still hold a special place in my heart for him today. He'd be totally shocked that I'm armed to the teeth. 😊😮

@@dependablepaulI feel safer in Olongapo City PI than I do in the states. Maybe it’s because they are to busy working to come up with reasons to start thinking they are entitled.

Stay away from Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. They only care about getting your money one way or another..the police wrote over 1,000 tickets. That is the whole purpose of the rod runs.

A guy wound up getting killed at the rod run this year. Apparently a car opened a door to get out on the side of the road and didn't realize a guy was on a scooter coming down the road and the guy on the scooter wound up getting killed in the accident. The rod runs are a total pain for local people.

Jeff, How about putting a waiting shack outside the gate? A place for people to wait out of the sun and weather would be nice. "We'll be at the yard in 30 to 45 minutes. We have a courtesy waiting spot with a roof and bench where you can wait."

Lol i own a classic car that has sentimental value myself. I won’t even leave my garage door open when i’m not out there. “That car means the world to me.” He said. Then proceeded to leave it illegally parked unattended in a Walgreens parking lot with the windows rolled down?? Foolish.

You guys are the best at what you do. I don't know why people think they can park where they want then get mad at you because you were called to tow away the vehicles. If they wouldn't have parked somewhere they are not suppose to they would not get towed. Common sense to me park in a safe place and don't park on private property.

Man I get it. I been going to Gatlinburg for 50 years. Last fall all the drift cars were there. Took over all the parking lots at restaurants and stores. Roared past the hotel all night and I'm sure the rod run is even worse. Thanks to all the moonshine in Gatlinburg, fist fights and puke all over the sidewalks was enough for me. No more, good luck with the towing.
