Love them showing off SLA printing, but if anyone saw this and thought it was really cool, getting an FDM Printer is a much cheaper alternative and, if printed correctly, can get pretty close to resin printers in quality! EDIT: Yes, there are a few cheap SLA printers, but I’m also including the cost of Resin vs the cost of a roll of filament, so I’m talking about cost over lifetime. I also didn’t say it originally, but FDM is less immediately dangerous than SLA
@S3rial855 жыл бұрын
SLA printers and DLP printers even more have become much more affordable the last 2 years. 300€ will buy you a more than good enough printer do make all the minis you ever wanted with the exception of some ginormous stuff that would just not fit the printarea. I am not trying to talk bad about FDM printers here i have both and the are both doing extremely well if you give them the job they were made for. (Ps. for all you mini needs just google "mz4250").

I've spent many happy hours on HeroForge. I'm designing an alternate universe for D&D (shedding the wargamey, binary, colonialist baggage) and needed to work out 15 original playable peoples (a.k.a. "races", see baggage). HeroForge was SUPER helpful in finding distinct looks for all of them. And as I can afford it I'm getting example NPCs from each of them. I am so happy with HeroForge quality (and this video confirmed that I am entirely happy to pay to have them do all the printing and trimming and mail me the completed mini). Our D&D group has tried all the materials now and all are great, but I mostly order in the cheapest because it's perfectly fine once painted.
