My padel teacher always says that, if in doubt, just hit it softly down the centre. As a beginner-intermediate player you can win a lot of points by just letting your opponents make the mistakes.

Would you day constantly split stepping is a intermediate thing or advanced (if you are not coming from tennis). I have the if we play against Real split steppers (not with a tennis backround) they are always quite decent opponents (even in spain)

The Rush strategy has to be played using a shot called "chiquita". Which is a soft and low shot that passes very close to The net so The attacker can't really do an agressive shot. You could explain the Keys to do a good chiquita.
